This is a very sad statistic, approximately 22 veterans a day commit suicide! So Arizona's state parks director took action and created a program that helps homeless veterans become park rangers. For Carlos Garcia pictured here, it was a second chance. Let's not forget our veterans! Kudo's for Carlos Garcia !

Ya know Job Corps has a similar program up in Utah.
mainly for at risk youths and rather than become rangers they just help maintain the parks and campgrounds,
Still it's pretty cool programs like this are out there to make a deal dif in peoples lives

Wow, Arizona does something that's not terrible... unusual.

It is good that something is being done for the people we, as a society, broke... but it's bad this band-aid is all we can muster.

But it's a start and certainly better than the policy of ignoring we are all so great at.
