Not sure why the Russians are getting so het-up about the Crimea. The population is diverse and may have a majority of Russian-speakers (60%), but that is hardly cause to lay claim to a peninsula that belongs to another country. In fact, the Tartars are a significant minority in Crimea – 15% of the population - and they hate the Russians on account of the genocide the Soviets attempted on them.

Also, the naval base is leased until 2042, so hardly an immediate threat.

In fact, the threat here is Russia acts like a bully and throws its weight around. That will completely alienate the rest of Ukraine against them. Although Russia may act mischievously and sir up internal strife, I very much doubt a conflict will be initiated.

The last thing Putin wants is:
1. UN peacekeepers in the vicinity
2. The entire Ukraine turning completely anti-Russian
3. A miscalculation resulting in a short, bloody conflict which makes him look like a fool.

The real Bully isn't Russia its the American Government that started the invasion of Iraq and occupation and the same nation that wants to bomb Iran for no reason at all expect for there claims that Iran supports terrorism yet but when they do thats acceptable.


Just look by the number and sizes of the American military bases around Europe and in Asia, if thats not an military invasion by
stealth and by propaganda claims that they there to protect that nation then i feel sorry if you dont see it as an occupation.

That is very wishful thinking but thats not going to occur not in an thousand years, even NeoCon military experts have for claimed the same theory for Ukraine to turn completely anti-Russian which is very unlike.

Tell me again how did the war in Iraq, Afghanistan turned out? so before by calling Putin a fool look at your own first history before someone's else.
If Anything Putin has not only made Obama look like complete fool in front of world audience but also he also made bill Clinton look like an idiot for what he did in Kosovo.

When Kosovo gained there independence, they didn't do it democratically but rather by blood and have executed, mass murdered thousands and thousands of innocent civilian Serbs to get it.

And Today? Kosovo lays in Ruins and is controlled by War Criminals and Mafia. Drugs are exported and imported in Kosovo, through out the Balkans and the middle east.
