Some people don't go to youtube. Could you give a brief summary of what your post refers to?
Thanks.

Stuff like that happens much more frequently than you might think.

A Cobra gunship once fired a 2.75" HE rocket at me, my teammate, the CO, the Bn Gunner, the Medical Officer, a Corpsman, and an Ambulance.

The Pilot must have thought big red crosses on Hmmwv's were targets.

Mark 1 eyeballs failed on this one not "hi tech". Still need "eyes on" confirmation from the ground to air that that is not an enemy position prior to release. Other than that that bomb went exactly where it was programmed to go and functioned flawlessly.

Members of Seal Team Six die in Chopper Crash.

2 FBI Members who were investigating the Boston Bombings fall out of a Chopper.

What guarded truths did these men uncover?

No technology makes it impossible for Blue on Blue to happen yet. They can make it much harder for it to happen, but nothing will keep it from happening just yet. A programming error when the GPS coordinates are punched into the bomb can bring it down in the wrong place. Or if the JTAC reads off the wrong coordinates, and the pilot puts in what he was told can bring it down in the wrong place. Or even a failure of the bomb guidance unit.

Some day we may get to that point, but we're not even close yet. Although it's a lot better than it used to be.

Pretty cool! but that's the deal, dookie happens! what's the difference if you get taken out by your own troops or narrowly miss getting your head taken off by a sniper round on the way to chow (that's how my daughter almost got it!
) ? Those troops shouldn't be there in the first place. Not in that OP, but in A-stan. History is very instructive in this regard. But our miitary is run by officers who are appointed POLITICALLY! What could possibly go wrong ?

Its almost as if...... war is dangerous some how?

SHOCKING!!!!

EDIT: what do they say, if you want to make an omelette you have to break some eggs.

War is hell, you dont just expect everything to be roses and remade in Hollywood in a few years.

I don't know what's worse, the fact that they ended up with a blue on blue situation, or that the bomber missed his target.

Had they been the insurgents the bomber was supposed to hit, he didn't do a very good job (thankfully, I guess).

Which brings on all the PT belt jokes in the Army
but stuff like this happens, and it might be because I'm an infantrymen but the language seemed mild for the situation.
