Perhaps that is because it isn't those organizations which are TRULY controlling the tide? Not that I know who is, but I highly doubt the US State Dept, The Pentagon or the CIA are REALLY decision makers. Mover's and shakers yes, but not decision makers. IMO

Been watching for a bit some points I find strange, maybe experts here can explain ?
1) Jumbo screen broadcasting live RT feed ?
2) If Russia is paying to have protest put down, why televise ?
3) The street lights are on, all the lights on. Government or police don't have control of the electric power ?
4) Why does it look like a festival ? I watched young and old coming and going, like a event not life and death struggle ?
5) When the fires burn down will the troops move in ? Should be morning soon...
6) Tearing up the street bricks and breaking them up for ammo against plastic and rubber bullets ? But the molitov cocktail launcher tubes look effective great range. But doesn't it matter that they are being televised in high def ?

7) And if the US is paying the bill on the protesters side then why the doom porn talk of a nuke plant takeover ?

I try to answer your questions as far as I can. I am not fully informed on this and will not say my answers are accurate.
1. & 2. Maybe the demonstrants are streaming it
3. There are a lot of non-violent people that still live there and also attend the demonstration. Not everything that is going on there is violent. If they would shut down the light the people would be even more pissed. At least this is my guess.
4. Like mentioned above it is actually a non violent demonstration. You could see earlier when it all started and still now sometimes, that there are peacefull speeches and some entertainment program. A lot of people go there to show their opinion, but leave for work or other reasons and dont want to participate in any violence.
5. I think if the troops want to move in, they will... but maybe they still have their orders not to storm the gates so to say, this would lead to a lot of innocent victims that are not at the frontline and didn't do something wrong
edit: seems like they stormed the majdan. reports of 18 deaths in total now.

it is escalating dramatically right now. lots of explosions, flash bangs, the main building on fire and the police forces seem to slowly make their move.

Indeed. The most fierce street-fighting I've seen since Kairo.
Official sources confirmed 18 people dead this morning (including 11 protesters and 7 police, 2 more police unconfirmed), more than a 1000 seriously injured, and the struggle is still going on.
The Ukrainian people are stuck between a rock (Russia) and a hard place (US/EU) and it looks like things will only get worse after this horrible night.

it has been going on for months. What started as a protest when the old president was ousted and prisoned (for no good reason) developed into protested recently against moves by the present government to reduce ties with the EU and move back towards Russia.

This has developed from there into a movement demanding the government to step down. It now seems like it is developing into a full on revolt.

For no reason? So Madoff is in jail for no reason too? She stole billions of dollars of Ukrainian people money. Even Snowdens documents showed that she hid it in the Great Britain banks. Lesson: if you steal, you go to jail.

And BTW: if there were preliminary elections in Ukraine (which Yanukovich offered to opposition if they stopped the protests and they declined), he would have won again. Opposition just lost control over nazi groups among protesters and now they're playing dumb. As well as Angela Merkel, who supported them (as well as McCain). That same person, McCain was shaking hands with was calling all of the protesters to come to protests with guns and knifes two days ago on social network. Those are just nazi groups with support from Germany and USA and without even 10% support in Ukraine.

Those peaceful protesters butchered a lot of cops. Yesterday they robbed a store and butchered bunch of women there and then stole all the money. They butchered a lot of people, who work there just because they speak Russian like more then 20 millions of other Ukrainians.

Wish people would just wake up We are headed for world war three just that many can not see it yet. So many countries with the same sort of protests either prowestern/banker slavery or pro russia/china soft communism. The bankers and their minions are behind all of this as i believe that neither russia or china really want a war but will not stand idly by while these people take control of the planet. These protesters are strangely well prepared, trained and funded for protesters. Beware those that will fund protests as nobody will give people money to protest if their is not likely something in it for them. They also exploit local greviences to further their agenders. The greatest weapon of wicked entities is the ability for them to manipulate people and agenders. These evil people/entities that control the money supply and have covertly taken over many of the western countries such as america and britain and all her colonies are just about to give us another world war. This war will kill off up to about halve the population on this planet as this evil cabol believe them unneccessary. I do not believe that the war will start on Obamas watch as he backed away from it last October and is conflicted on a higher level between the good side and the bad but will occur after the next president is in power. In the mean time protests and civil wars will come to many countries as this starts to play out.

I keep warning people this is major dangerous reckless behavior by bankers and governments and may be the start of WW3.

The situation looks so violent, but I still wonder why nobody of the protestors brings firearms and why the police is not using real ammunition.
I mean I dont want that, but they are risking each others lives already with a lot severely injured people and deaths, why don't they go the whole way?
Are there some gun regulation, so that regular people don't actually have access to them?
Or did I just miss that?

Both side are armed, but I think that they're not being used much due to people not wanting to shoot their fellow countrymen (very commendable).

Some people have been shot and kill sadly. So yes protestors and security forces have been using firearms just limited on the use (at least from what can be seen on web-cams. If anyone on the ground can confirm or deny this, it would be helpful)

International community says that for anyone who is pro-eu or pro-usa. Just look at Pussy riots ... they would have gone in jail in USA too and in every other country in Europe but they still got attention, just because they were pro-eu, pro-us and against Putin.

Timoshenko stole a lot of money from Ukraine. And remember Europes gas crisis? She started it. The whole Europe was waiting for that gas ... So if you mean political prisoner because she was in politics and was scum and was proved to be scum, then yes.

And for someone asking why police didn't use firearms. They had orders that they cannot use force against 'protesters' unless there's no other choice. Protesters btw used firearms ... you can see some interesting footage on LiveLeak.
