This has two fun angles. The first is for those "gun registry" folks who think it's totally "common sense" to let government bureaucracy and all the applicable agents of said bureaucracy keep and maintain such a database.

NO DATABASE IS SECURE

So if you know this and still actively push for a national registry what is it you are hoping to accomplish with an inaccurate and insecure list of guns and their owners? I can think of two possibilities: you know it wont work but you feel like you just "have to do something!" or you're end game is confiscation and you need to start somewhere. So you're either stupid or you're a tyrant. Neither option should be very appealing unless you enjoy being stupid or have wet dreams of being the boss of someone.

Second angle is just fun for me. It's just one or two bad apples, right? Couldnt possibly have 88 bad apples spread across 25 agencies. Nah. Just one or two bad apples here or there. No systemic infection of corruption or crime.

It started with sex offender registries, now gun owners registries, whats the next registry???
