ETIs, Dimensional Travel, Humanity and GMO...Linked?

OK, Relax..take a deep breath and know that i'm 'just putting this out there' as a thought experiment, not as a truism or firm conviction.

(I Just want to put this out as a thought 'thing', so haven't spell checked it...if typo's bother you, you might not want to read)

It is always asked: If ET is coming here and has been coming here for a very long time, what is their purpose?

Why would they bother to go to all the trouble and not just announce themselves to us all, and why would the government of the world keep it tightly secret for all this time?

Perhaps the truth is rather different to most of the common theories..maybe the truth really is weirder than fiction.

WHAT IF...

There is a link between the ETI phenomenon, ourselves and the seemingly current trend of pushing GMO foods with apparent complete disregard for safety of those who consume it?

Here's a thought.

ETI's have made contact with the major governments of Earth, decades ago. They discussed many things, not least of which would have been the obvious questions like 'what do you want here ?' and 'where do you come from?'.

If the answers to those two basic questions went like this, i can see why governments would keep quiet and GMO food producers seem to have so little regard for things like cross contamination of DNA into our bloodstreams, and unknown dangers of it doing so.

GOV: Why are you here?

ETI: We are here in order to exist.

GOV: Where do you come from?

ETI: We come from here. A more accurate question from your point of view would be 'When do you come from'.

You see...we are a highly technological species. We have mastered the secrets of what you think of as the Universe, what you consider to be the dimension of time and a great many other things currently fantastic to you.

We are able to move around at will, not only in what you think of as the spacial domain , but also in what you think of as the time domain..we are essentially from your distant future.

GOV: But you can't be from here, you are an unknown species to us, we have never seen your species or any record of you before...not in any archaelogical trace, no indication of any currently living creature that could naturally evolve into your form, into you.

ETI: Isn't it obvious to you, that we come from...you?

GOV: That isn't possible, we are so different genetically, we share no common markers, not traces of shared DNA and physically we don't even remotely resemble you.

ETI: Not yet, no. This is one of the main reasons we are here and have been here before. We are just one of many groups of our species, tasked with a very important set of instructions..using our technology, our ability to travel dimensionally and spacially, we have been gently steering Humanity, genetically, towards an ultimate goal...us. Little by little, small but important genetic mutations to your species' DNA have been programmed in subtle phases, over a great period of time and now you, and we, are ready to accelerate the programme to the next major milestone...which is why we are here, now, having these meetings with your leaders.

GOV: And if we choose not to go along with this...genetic agenda of yours, if we decide we will not comply with this programme?

ETI: You don't have a choice..and neither do we have a choice. We never have. You cannot prevent what is coming, any more than we can..if you or we could have done, we wouldn't have existed to come to this meeting in the first place...in a very real sense, this has already happened, and we're are here to facilitate that happening.

The next phase is to be a mass, global genetic intervention. This will happen through the introduction of specifically engineered DNA, inserted fragment by fragment into the genetic makeup and everyone currently on this planet...ultimately, once a tipping point in dispersal is reached, there will be no avoiding the changes, and the genetic instructions will be entered into our genetic programme, to finally bring about the great leap as we call it.

GOV: The great leap?

ETI: The point where your species essentially becomes more 'us', and less 'you'...the point where Humanity ends and we begin.

GOV: But...the people will not allow this to happen to them..they will..

ETI: The people, generally, will not even be aware that this is happening. The vector for delivery will be global food.

Everybody eats, everybody has to in order to continue to live...there is no choice in this. The food crops will be altered, changed and re-encoded to encourage the great leap, after a period of time, the mutations will be complete and we will have begun. An early version of course, but more of our teams are already observing the results of our intervention here with you, and have already started the next phase of our programme...you see, the plan is going on throughout the dimensional time domain, and is proceeding perfectly according to our design.

The altered foods will be distributed through what we will call GMO biotechnology corporations, aided by you, the governments and regulators. These corporations, supported by you, will be hailed and encouraged as the saviours of humanity, the preventors of hunger and disease, the champions of the environment and will tell the people of your world, they are doing this for their benefit.

And your people will believe it.

That is as good a reason as any to keep quiet about ETI and their reasons for being here don't you think ladies and gentlemen?

As i said at the start of this thread, it's just a thought experiment...or is it?

I was thinking about the OP and remembered that we had an old book from Germany, dating from the 30's or so, and in it, there was the idea of engineering sub-human species to create "specialized" work forces, like a "sub-human" specie that would be engineered to live in the sewers, and eat and drink what we reject there...

If not from aliens, could we be re-engineered simply by greedy humans through food?... ...

I always thought the plotline of Half-Life 2 was rather prophetic. A group of unseen aliens known as "Our Benefactors" who keep the human race subjugated and enslaved... and sterile.

You know, kind of like Genetically Modified Foods Could Cause Long-Term Sterility. So yeah, maybe aliens working through biotech corporations to modify our DNA isn't such a reach.

S&F that was an interesting take on the available information out in the public domain. Like others said before that would make a good book or script for a sci-fi movie. Your writing style reminded me a lot of the, if I remember correctly, the Leer Report(?) on Art Bell's show a long time ago. Good read and who knows you maybe on to something.

This is an interesting theory of why an alien species would theoretically want to use GMO production to transform the human genome. However, there is no evidence linking the two that I know of. Until proven otherwise I will continue to believe that GMO's are used to increase the profits of multinational food corporations. And I also agree that this would make for a rather intriguing screenplay.
