A Pleading to S.O., in Verse [Feb2014]

Two months and two weeks into every year,
Comes a day for flowers and chocolate and wine.
We surprise the ones that we hold most dear,
But what of those we have admired online?

There can be no pink cards or teddy bear,
Nor powder candy hearts or dinners out.
For we will never in our real lives share,
a day together frolicking about.

These are my words of simple rhyme to praise
the children’s book author that fixes bugs.
His technical knowledge and games amaze
As does his love for his wife and his pugs.

Flag or star may be my only reward
Or replies to bump this poem of mine
To catch the eye of SkepticOverlord
And beseech him to be my valentine.

So ATS friends be valiant and true
Seek not hoaxes or quarrels on this day
Find someone that once responded to you
And put your fondness for them on display!
