I mentioned nihilism had some worth as a transition

Yet you attributed to it the power to motivate:


seeking happiness... as it is an antidote for nihilism

the power to turn lives round:


they must at some point reach the pit of nihilism, and therefor head in the opposite direction of happiness

and even the capacity to enlighten:


One’s umbilical cord must be severed from the illusions of prevailing beliefs to, in a sense, be born again

Pretty powerful stuff.

It might all be true if, as you say, nihilsim was such a big deal. But it isn't. You're just getting 'nihilism' confused with 'disillusion'.

I've done some manner of research on the topic. Perhaps it isn't me who is confusing things. Sometimes two seconds of googling doesn't really cut it.
