Just when I thought the Right can't get anymore 'boneheaded' they send us a gift like this:

Which Republicans might toss their hats into the 2016 GOP presidential ring, and when? Speculation in the media usually centers on Washington figures like Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, and Marco Rubio, and to a lesser degree about governors like Scott Walker and Susana Martinez. Earlier today, the Daily Caller’s Alex Pappas offered up another suggestion — MSNBC’s longtime Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough:

hotair.com...

WHAT ARE YOU THINKING Republicans ?

I don't have high opinions of any of those people. Especially Mr Joe Scarborough.

Mr sold his soul for a paycheck MSNBC Scarborough.

Republicans get it through your thick heads 'social conservative' doesn't work for you.

If they wanted a Democrat they vote for a Democrat.

Repubiican's you got some SERIOUS issues.

Get your act together or you will never get back in to the White House.

Give us a real GD Republican.

He's one the Dems would be nervous about. A very good communicator, and speaks his mind and heart. I'm not in his corner of the political spectrum, but enjoy watching his show. The Russell Brand "interview" on Morning Joe is a classic (I won't post it here because of thread drift, but that's one to see for sure), although Joe himself was absent that day if I recall (he spends lots of time in Florida with his family).

This is what happens when you run out of McCain's and Romney's and you have another Bush and the queen of socialism Hillary in the hunt.

When it becomes so obvious you are throwing the POTUS election you might as well have fun with it.

The fake two party system, no matter how much people profess to know it's bovine excrement, they still pretend that's it's real and on the up and up. WHOEVER gets in the White House gets there because the puppet masters want them there to fulfill a specific agenda. PERIOD.

There is nothing fake about them. There are CLEAR ideological differences.

The problems is the DINO's, and the RINO's.

IF you ever wanted clear evidence to the Farce of the two party system,

All one has to do is look at the Idiots they offer up as alternatives to the pre-selected two choices.

Its clear they are Clowns trotted out so that we say, OH god no vote for Option A or B.

Yea thats "choice"

All one has to do is look at the over all momentum of this country to see that these "clear" Ideological differences are the icing on the cake of corruption to keep us distracted and fighting.

Underneath, they are all for the encroachment of our liberties, and the growth of government spending and power.

When a candidate for public office faces the voters he does not face men of sense; he faces a mob of men whose chief distinguishing mark is the fact that they are quite incapable of weighing ideas, or even of comprehending any save the most elemental — men whose whole thinking is done in terms of emotion, and whose dominant emotion is dread of what they cannot understand. So confronted, the candidate must either bark with the pack or be lost... All the odds are on the man who is, intrinsically, the most devious and mediocre — the man who can most adeptly disperse the notion that his mind is a virtual vacuum. The Presidency tends, year by year, to go to such men. As democracy is perfected, the office represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. We move toward a lofty ideal. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

I honestly don't see how one candidate can reel in all the competing factions within the badly fractured GOP: the 1% oligarchs, the suburban country-clubbers, the gun nuts, the survivalist nuts, the black helicopter nuts, the racists, the Jesus freaks, the climate deniers, the Tea Partiers and pseudo-libertarians, the Wall Street greedmongers, the anti-environment ranching/mining cabal, etc.

No matter who runs, they can't help displeasing at least a couple major slices of that pie. My guess is the oligarchs will choose their man and the rest will eat crow. Not a strong outlook for the general election.

1. Get a cat.
2. Feed it yummy treats.
3. Place sheets of phone book pages on the floor.
4. When it yarks up a hairball, see who's name is underneath.
5. Nominate that person for president.
6. Then pet cat and watch the world become a better place.
7. And name the cat Mr. Skittles.

The two parties should be almost identical so that the American people can "throw the rascals out" at any election without leading to any profound or extensive shifts in policy.
Either party in office becomes in time corrupt, tired, unenterprising and vigorless. Then it should be possible to replace it every four years by the other party which will be none of these things but will still pursue, with new vigor, approximately the same basic policies.

Tragedy and hope, Carol Quigley, Many a powerful people have been influenced by his thinking.

Including US presidents like Bill Clinton.

The thought being in a Nuclear age you can't trust the Common people with things like the Right to vote,

Far to dangerous, better to control them with two options.

And yet we stand on the verge of,

Clinton 2.0, and Bush 2.0.

Clearly we are drowning in choice and freedoms.

ETA, Or wait, jebs 3.0, the idea of Dynastic reign should be anathema to America, Im so eager for 2016 when we can get rid of Obama and get the next puppet.

I hope not.

What it looks like is the Right is throwing anyone, and everyone out there to see what sticks.

Who they can sell to the masses.

I don't see how anyone can seriously say Scarborough is a Republican - not if you're known by the company you keep, he isn't. LoL!

And I wonder what his buddy fellow "Republican" and potential candidate Chris Christie thinks of this rumor?

If I hear a 2016 Scarborough/Christie ticket from the GOP.

I am done.

Seriously.
