Scientists find 800,000-year-old footprints in England

Archaeologists announced Friday that they have discovered human footprints in England that are between 800,000 and 1 million years old -- the most ancient found outside Africa, and the earliest evidence of human life in northern Europe.

A team from the British Museum, London's Natural History Museum and Queen Mary college at the University of London uncovered imprints from up to five individuals in ancient estuary mud at Happisburgh on the country's eastern coast.

3D computer analysis showed 49 prints made by a small group of probably five individuals with a range of adult and children’s foot sizes, walking slowly along what was then the Thames estuary – subsequent geological changes during the ice ages have pushed the river about 95 miles south to its present position. The largest feet, equivalent to a modern UK size 8, belonged to a man who was probably about 5ft 8in (1.7 metres) tall.

The earth was a different place in the past. Earth rocked to and fro, massive earthquakes, super hurricaines, ice ages that lasted thousands of years. ( did you know that the ice was 30,000 feet high in some places like in north america?)

The footsteps of our past are being reveled daily... literally.

Did you know that England was not an Island 800000 years ago? Wasnt an island 30000 years ago either, it is a recent event taking place after the melting and flood around 10500 bc
