While the photos are a little misleading, the older pictures of the 6' fish are all Jewfish, now called Goliath Grouper which are now a protected species, the facts are valid. The average fish size keeps dropping due to declining population and fish no longer growing to full size.

Overfishing is a major concern worldwide.

Kiss seafood goodbye. With over fishing and pollution there will be no more all u can eat seafood buffets. A pound if frozen shrimp will cost $99.00. Aquaman would be pissed!!

What has been happening in the seafood industry is when one type of fish is depleted they start fishing for another type until they cannot anymore. I do have to give the US, and locally the FWC(Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission) for recognizing this and making laws that protect the most vulnerable species.

It does at times seem like there is a conspiracy to wipe out the world's natural sources of food so we will have to depend on the food industry giants.
