Riddle, Did the tribe of Dan just feed a Rothchild to the Lions?

This works in two parts, one is a light pun the other is a more serious cryptic riddle for those with eyes to see and ears to hear.

1 ) Ok the above title is a tongue in cheek pun and based on a rather nasty ( sick and truly not funny) event today.
2 ) Same as above again, but dangerously symbolic of the times.
Can you solve it?
