Morpheus:

Let me tell you why you're here. You're here because you know something. What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire life, that there's something wrong with the world. You don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad. It is this feeling that has brought you to me. Do you know what I'm talking about?

That's how it all began for each of us.

Then you took the red pill and began cascading down the rabbithole.

The education of a free man can began only once he realizes that 99% of the "education" he learned in school is BS. But once he throws away all the garbage forced upon him by the corrupt state, with what should you fill that void?

The purpose of this thread is to provide a list of indispensable reading material for anyone who desires to be free from the power structure. To understand your enemy you must first learn its motives, its purpose, and its methods. Thankfully, for anyone with the diligence to perform their own research and take charge of their own education, it's possible to find most every mechanism through which TPTB seek to keep us enslaved.

Brave New World -- Huxley's novel of an entire society intentionally dumbed down into castes, controlled through entertainments and subliminal messages and sex and dissolution of the family, is an almost direct parallel of the current social paradigms towards immorality the government and media is foisting upon us.

"Reducing the number of revolutions per minute," Mr. Foster explained. "The surrogate goes round slower; therefore passes through the lung at longer intervals; therefore gives the embryo less oxygen. Nothing like oxygen-shortage for keeping an embryo below par." Again he rubbed his hands.

"But why do you want to keep the embryo below par?" asked an ingenuous student.

"Ass!" said the Director, breaking a long silence. "Hasn't it occurred to you that an Epsilon embryo must have an Epsilon environment as well as an Epsilon heredity?"

Yes, folks. TPTB are intentionally working to keep you dumbed down and ignorant. They don't need a world full of Alphas... they want you to be dumb and happy and content as Gamma/Delta/Epsilon slaves.

Brave New World Revisited -- The underpinning ideals and elaborations upon the concepts of Brave New World, BNWRevisited--although densely written--is an indispensable tool for seeing through the social engineering plans of TPTB.

The really hopeless victims of mental illness are to be found among those who appear to be most normal. "Many of them are normal because they are so well adjusted to our mode of existence, because their human voice has been silenced so early in their lives, that they do not even struggle or suffer or develop symptoms as the neurotic does." They are normal not in what may be called the absolute sense of the word; they are normal only in relation to a profoundly abnormal society. Their perfect adjustment to that abnormal society is a measure of their mental sickness.

That pretty much says it all.

Propaganda -- Bernays (nephew of Sigmund Freud) lays out the entire strategy for using figures of influence (read: politicians, celebrities, etc) to guide and control the masses. According to Bernays, you are too dumb to get an opinion. Your opinion must be force-fed to you by the learned minority.

A presidential candidate may be "drafted" in response to "overwhelming popular demand," but it is well known that his name may be decided upon by half a dozen men sitting around a table in a hotel room.

Tragedy and Hope -- One of Bill Clinton's mentors, Carroll Quigley, lays out the modern history of the world in this no-holds-barred expose on the power structures that control our society.

The powers of financial capitalism had [a] far-reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent private meetings and conferences. The apex of the system was to be the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the world's central banks which were themselves private corporations.

Mindwar -- Aquino--a known Satanist, so you know he's a stand-up guy--wrote the definitive work on controlling and influencing individuals not just through propaganda as Bernays suggested, but also through technological means designed to subvert free will.

If you want a quote from this one, buy it. The entire book is terrifying in how blatantly it seeks and flaunts the ability to subvert free will.

1984 -- Orwell's classic. After the revelation of NSA spying and the fact that the US has been supporting Al-Qaeda in Syria, has it ever been more important to drill home the dangers of a totalitarian surveillance state where the government wages wars against false enemies to control the masses through fear and hate?

'Who controls the past,' ran the Party slogan, 'controls the future: who controls the present controls the past.' And yet the past, though of its nature alterable, never had been altered. Whatever was true now was true from everlasting to everlasting. It was quite simple. All that was needed was an unending series of victories over your own memory.

This is what TPTB are trying to do with history--rewrite it as necessary to fool the gullible masses. They want you to forget the lies they tell so you'll believe the new lies they tell next:

Atlas Shrugged -- Rand's brilliant masterpiece and its implications holds true even today. No socialist system will stand for long. Only through free market economics and a complete removal of coercion from the marketplace can prosperity be obtained.

Again, no quote here. This entire book is quoteworthy, and needs to be read as a composite piece.

Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars -- a supposedly leaked government document that declares open war against we the people, Silent Weapons delineates how the government utilizes control over educational and economic systems to keep people despondent and dependent while simultaneously increasing government controls.

Diversion Summary
Media: Keep the adult public attention diverted away from the real social issues, and captivated by matters of no real importance.

Schools: Keep the young public ignorant of real mathematics, real economics, real law, and real history.

Entertainment: Keep the public entertainment below a sixth-grade level.

Work: Keep the public busy, busy, busy, with no time to think; back on the farm with the other animals.

That's a start. Please add to this list the books you consider required reading for free men, and reasons why.

I agree with most of your post. Until we come to Rand. Her philosophy is bankrupt. It doesn't incorporate the limits of growth to explain long term sustainability in a finite system using a capitalist economic structure. This is also destined to fail 100% of the time unless new markets continue to be found. It is unavoidable. While her books is an enjoyable work of fiction her political philosophy is incredibly naive.

Cool, I can definitely agree that her philosophy isn't 100% bulletproof. But the VISION of a world free from the shackles of government control is something that every free man should have instilled into their mind.

Did you have any books you wanted to recommend for the education of a free man?

Orwell and Huxley.
We are now living in both those worlds. So sad.

Great thread

I hope those who are not yet free take the time to read it.

Most of this nonsense goes away we we start getting off this rock, out of this gravity prison.

There is no TPTB, or "They" out in the vastness of the Universe.

You're quibbling about people problems.

Get away from the people.

Plant your own flag in your own bit of rock. Stick some engines on it, and go places.
The Universe is a big place.
Take friends with.

It's that simple.
It might take a hundred years to get off planet, but, there's age regression technologies around the corner such to give anyone with the patience and drive long enough to wait out feasible practical self maintaining sustainable synthetic replacement bodies.
Get a synthetic replacement body, and the next million years is yours to do with what you want, so, then, kick this rock to the curb and go places once you've got a body that won't be so fragile or dependent on things like food, air, life support systems, and the other fragilities and neediness of biology.

There won't be any TPTB out in the vastness of the Galaxy and greater Universe.
Even if there is, pick a direction they're not, and go THERE.

All this TPTB stuff is quibbling over the haves and have nots.
It's people problems.
Get away from the people. Problem solved.

Do you honestly believe they're going to let ordinary folk be free enough to leave this planet! They're ALREADY locking us down.
As for tech that will prolong life, well, again I ask, do you really beleive they'll let us ordinary folk get our hands on it?

They're in the process of thining us out so that they can have the planet for themselves, they dont need us anymore!

Awesome opinion and its always good to have a perspective that extends past this life... but before leaving this world, maybe we should concern ourselves about removing the slaveowners so that the next generations won't have to inherit a prison-planet of indentured servitude to psychopaths.

It's time to free humanity, and the battle has already begun.

So did you have any books you wanted to recommend for free men to read, or did you just want to try and run this train off the rails?

Them and They.
again.

Once upon a time only the wealthy and affluent had their own personal telegraph wires in their homes.
This developed into the wealthy and affluent eventually being the first to have ... electricity.
personal motor carriages.
personal radio sets.
Natural gas ovens.
Personal Television sets.
Air conditioning and central heating.

... the list goes on.

Personal computers, cell phones, contact lenses, laptops, microwave ovens ...

Wherever there is an interest or demand for something, people will have, and people will make, even if it requires the black market.

Age regression technologies?
Papers are already published on some exciting developments and advancements.
Anyone with the drive, cognitive horsepower, and resourcefulness enough to set up their own lab in their own garage could start "cooking" up immortality right now and do human trials on themselves, since, well, results are currently only in for mice.

As for getting off planet, there's already a host of private enterprises set for anything from asteroid mining, moon mining, and even simple space tourism all gearing up.
A hundred years from now?

It's fine and all if anyone wants to sit around kicking their shoes all pouty-faced about the old Them and They, but, in reality, we've got 5 year old children running around with their own personal cell phones, each with more processing power than the entire NASA space program from the very start on up to the beginning of the Space Shuttle programmed combined .. all in the hands of 5 year old children.

Thus, go ahead, pout.
Them and They vs. you.

I'd rather focus on success as opposed to failing before you ever even try, or have a chance.

Even the education of a free man is biased. Why? the people he follows and reads about are biased. Everything we learn everything we do we do for our own reasons and bias. Remember there is nothing in the world that is completely neutral. Everyone has an ulterior motive now.

Sorry I've no books to recommend however, I learned it from a study of history and personal experience so you know read up on historian's like marx and other historian's, when you read about them and their arguments you can spot the bias between historian's, politician's people on the street and everyone in between because bias is created from the situation all of these people are in.

Since no one else is coming forward with any books to recommend, let's open it up to videos as well:

But before we get there, don't forget these gems of establishment thinking:

Rules for Radicals -- Saul Alinsky lays out a twelve step process for undermining an "enemy" regime. Unfortunately, in Amerika, this government considers we the people to be the enemy, and uses these rules against libertarians, freedom-lovers, and real conservatives of all persuasions.

RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)

What "people" are the government going after and vilifying? Libertarians like Ron Paul, Rand Paul, Alex Jones, Ted Cruz. TPTB dare not come out and directly say "we hate liberty," so instead they target individuals who fight for the cause... and that should tell you everything you need to know about TPTB's real motives.

Mein Kamph -- If you don't think this government is influenced by the ideas of the Nazi party... first: lol. Second, look into Operation Paperclip. Nazism and the politics of Hitler didn't die out, they just went into hiding inside the US government.

-“If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed.”
-“What luck for rulers that men do not think.”

Those pretty much sum up the current state of US politics.

From Dictatorship to Democracy -- Nobel Peace Prize nominee Gene Sharp lays out in succinct form the principles of nonviolent nonparticipation necessary to toppling a hostile regime. This is our battleplan, folks. This is the blueprint that has toppled corrupt governments all around the world. Violence is NOT the answer.

Whatever the merits of the violent option, however, one point is clear. By placing confidence in violent means, one has chosen the very type of struggle with which the oppressors nearly always have superiority. The dictators are equipped to apply violence overwhelmingly.... Persons hostile to dictatorships should look for another option.

Now, on to some videos:

Zeitgeist: Moving Forward -- Say what you will about the Zeitgeist series, but the films introduce into the minds of the people an important idea: Breaking the old power structure and creating a sustainable world in which we all can find satisfaction. As opposed to the current power structure where the richest 85 people possess more wealth than the poorest 3.5 BILLION, I'd say any move in the direction towards equality is a step up.

Thrive -- Like Zeitgeist, Thrive explores the possibility of alternate energy sources and the move towards a resource-based economy. By now we should all know well that what we're doing to this planet IS NOT WORKING, so it's time to start digging around in our minds to put together viable alternatives for the future. Thrive will get you thinking in the right direction.

State of Mind: The Psychology of Control -- Wondering how TPTB keep the minds of the masses enslaved? Wondering how it's possible to break free? State of Mind explores the origins of the psychological control mechanisms in society, delving into the educational model to the cultural memes that program the ignorant to become materialist robots with unquestioning adherence to the state.

The Terrifying Future of the United States -- From the NDAA to Fema Camps to mass ammo purchases to the militarization of police... the writing is on the wall, and none of it looks promising. TTFotUS explores the various ways in which the government has signaled its intent for martial law and a hostile takeover of we the people, and provides a stark wake-up call to anyone who might doubt the malicious intent of TPTB.

Revolution: An Instruction Manual -- Wondering what we can do to turn the tides against these criminals in power? Look no further. Based upon time-honored practices of overturning rogue governments, Revolution: An Instruction Manual lays out the steps we MUST take to undermine the power structure in place.

That should get you started. I'll keep going with more later, but let's hear from some other posters out there in ATS land.

What videos are flag-worthy for people needing to decondition themselves from their state-sponsored brainwashing? What videos helped to reeducate YOU??

OP, great thread, great read, we need to somehow make all the hidden knowledge available to everyone and for free.
SF

ALL knowledge is "hidden" until it is known.

How many of you know even basic CPR?

Does anyone here have the knowledge base to make their own aspirin?
How strong is one's knowledge of some things like basic, primitive antibiotics, and other curatives?
If you don't know, then, that's "hidden knowledge" until you do.

What about building your own primitive electrical generator, and battery array, by hand?

Can you make your own clothes without having to kill anything?
Does anyone know how to make a Cotton Gin from scratch?
What about a loom?

How many types of wild edible and medicinal plants do you know?
How many domesticated plants have you ever cultivated successfully?

What do you know about farming and is Red Ergot a good or bad thing?

How many here are familiar with the Bessemer Process for Turning pig iron into quality steel?

All these are very basic bits of information that could be quite helpful should one find themselves having to live and survive alone or with a small group. All these are conventional standard bits of knowledge that can be picked up from the previous link I listed.
University Educational material isn't Evil Empire programming.

Hell, most protest movements, and revolutions get started BY young University Educated people who've been learning their histories, their types of governments, the various schools of philosophy.
Universities are storehouses of "forbidden", and "hidden" knowledge.

If one doesn't know it, then, it's hidden, until they do.

Further, nothing worth having should be expected to be easy.
The more difficult it is to master a professional knowledge base that takes years of study, the more rewarding such knowledge usually is.

Universities aren't establishment indoctrination facilities. lulz. No.
If anything, Universities are typically quite anti-establishment among the student bodies as a norm.

This is a really weak attempt to derail a thread. But thanks for giving me an opportunity to reply and further enlighten the masses:

(If the embedded vids don't work, you can get to the vid through the hyperlink in the title)

Terrance Mckenna & Joe Rogan - Awaken From the Culture -- What people need to understand is that "culture" is not an immutable trait. TPTB attempt to program into you certain values (e.g. consumerism, materialism, etc), but these things are NOT who you actually are. You were not born craving consumer goods and a hedonistic lifestyle; those things were programmed into you through social engineering. Becoming aware of that programming is the first step towards further freeing yourself.

Culture is Not Your Friend -- The eminent sage Terence McKenna spins poetry, explaining to you that culture is merely the operating system you've been conditioned with from your environment. Again, TPTB control your reality through controlling your environment, attempting to instill you with the values THEY want you to have. But you can break free. You can remake yourself in the image of anything you want.

Culture is an Intelligence Test -- More wordsmithing from McKenna. Frankly, the capitalistic consumeristic model we the people are following is simply DUMB. We're cutting the earth from beneath our feet. What makes an individual worthy isn't following the latest fad or trend or celebrity scandal... it's being intelligent enough to turn your back upon all that BS, and all those psychopaths that feed you this constant stream of distraction.

No, they are not, they are 'storehouses' of existing known knowledge.

I believe there are more unknown knowledge behind closed doors in labs, testing facilities etc.
In fact, I believe right now, somewhere, there are group or groups of smart people, I refused to call them scientists, recruits for the 'elite' of our society, making knew knowledge happen for their scum masters and for their agenda.

Our world is in chaos, it's falling apart (Do you see it?), just from the simple fact that vast amount of people are illiterate and there are more to come.
Everyone has an implanted desire to learn, we just need to make sure everyone gets knowledge for free.

Every new knowledge should be automatically made available to the public to serve the purpose of human prosperity.

NO, it's not.

Is anyone here familiar with the phrase "Knowledge is power"?

Every individual is responsible for what they do with what they learn.
Am I telling anyone WHAT to do with any educational resource?

NO.

I'm encouraging education.
I'm not on here discouraging "types" of education in some programed paranoid fringe agenda fear factor propaganda driven nonsense about some spooky "Them" and "They" bogeymen that are out to get everyone.

I'm giving information, and I'm giving information for FREE.
Do with it what one desires.
Save the planet.
Start a revolution.
Build a bomb.
Cure cancer.
Seek enlightenment
Join the "Illuminati"
Become a Communist
Become a Banker
Save the whales
Hug a tree

It matters not to me what any individuals personal agenda is.

My position in pro-Learning and pro-education.

No one HAS to go to University if they don't want to.
They can sit in their mother's basement and pout about "society", and TPTB in a big tizzy of paranoid delusional sweaty hot-pockets munching angst, or smoke it up in a teepee or a yurt on a mountainside while soaking up all the FREE materials available in the link I've provided:

800+ Free Online Courses from Top Universities

How is that derailing anything?

Go.
Be "Free", however one wants to interpret such a label as "Free".
Or not.

Education and Knowledge was asked for, and I've provided, for FREE.
What anyone does with it, or not, is not my concern.
Drink the water, or not.

I'm not telling anyone what to do with any of the knowledge offered.

Does this look familiar?
800+ Free Online Courses from Top Universities

All that "hidden" stuff in labs?
How do you think the people in those labs got there in the first place?
They got an education and facilitated the practical application of that knowledge to invent, innovate, change, revolutionize, all to whatever purpose.

The electronic device you are using now is a product of those educational resources.

Here's another entirely FREE resource: ARXIV.org
It's absolutely packed with bleeding edge physics.
All, the really interesting stuff, however, requires one to at least be able to speak Math as a language.

oh. How does one learn to speak math as a language?
uh.
800+ Free Online Courses from Top Universities
aha.

There's tons of absolutely FREE knowledge available.
Thing is, the more advanced aspects of all these on offer typically require some practical understanding of some underlying principles to be able to even 'get' or understand what's so important and amazing about what's being discussed, and freely available.

I'm not the one proffering agenda here.

Information is Information.
Your responsibility to yourself for what you do with whatever any X information on offer is your own responsibility.

(1) The point of the thread is to provide people with specific books/videos that can provide them a proper education.

(2) You essentially posted a pic of any county library and said "go here," then padded it with a bunch of blahblah

(3) That's useless to people searching for concrete recommendations

(4) You know that already

(5) So if you don't have any real recommendations for specific books and videos for THE EDUCATION OF A FREE MAN, you know what to do. Thanks.

With that said, here are some more videos for people looking to broaden their geopoliticial and spiritual perspective:

Endgame: Blueprint for Global Enslavement -- Say what you will about Alex Jones, but essentially everything he talks about in this video is coming true. Don't hate the message because you hate the messenger--look at the facts with an open mind, and you'll see the danger this country is in.

America Divided -- Straight from the horse's mouth, here's an ex-CIA black ops member who risked his life (and subsequently lost it!) to expose the truth. Chip Tatum unveils firsthand knowledge about the government's involvement in the drug trade and shutting down third party presidential candidates like Ross Perot.

Satanism and the CIA -- Need more proof that this government is evil? Here's ex-FBI chief Ted Gunderson exposing the satanic CIA operation "The Finders," which kidnaps children and pushes them into sex slavery. Yes, this is (sadly) real.

Russell Brand at the Cambridge Union Society -- And on a lighter note, here's Russell Brand absolutely killing it at Cambridge. Russell discusses spiritual awakening, the need for a global paradigm shift, and, of course, himself.

(Again, if any of these embedded vids don't work, simply use the hyperlink in the video title.)

Cheers!
