I'm new to ATS. Sorry, but I've read enough arrogance, rudeness and self-importance from the OP to dismiss this post entirely. I can't fathom how some people ever come to agreement on anything, considering their apparent need to always be right.

You need to be very tough to discuss a specific Topic like
this one, Attacks are very common in the Internet World.

The Discussion here in this Thread is even relative friendly
compared to other ones.

Regarding the Topic and your Post:
i mentioned only the Fire and the Stability Issue because
i am able to say something but i do not know what
happen in the Future.

The Rods must and should go, it is stupid to keep
them in Nr.4 and imo. it is not "that" Risky like
Arnie try to tell us.

I see no Risk for the molten Fuel,
as long as the Cooling is running!

PS: the Guardian link provided a good Info
how i felt in that Days:
The Guardian

We evacuated at 03/15 to Bangkok.
(and returned ca. 7-8 Weeks later)

The Rods must and should go, it is stupid to keep them in Nr.4 and imo. it is not "that" Risky like Arnie try to tell us.

Arnie said it was like trying to pull a cigarette out of a crumpled pack of cigarettes..... A tepco engineer admitted that was true in an interview and added the caveat "imagine that cigarette is lit".

What makes you think that your opinion that it is not "that" risky should be held over that of a Tepco engineer who is involved in the actual fuel rod removal process who said Arnie's scenario was true, but a little harder than Arnie said?

Forbes has it right. You should actually read it.

Globalresearch has it wrong. Of course. Drinking water standards were not changed.

Activistpost has it right. Sort of and except that there was nothing for Obama to "approve."

It was a set of guidelines about cleanups. Not changing any standards. Not changing any regulations. Nothing...nothing having to do with drinking water.

The 2013 PAG Manual is not a legally binding regulation or standard and does not supersede any environmental laws; PAGs are not intended to define “safe” or “unsafe” levels of exposure or contamination. This guidance does not address or impact site cleanups occurring under other statutory authorities such as the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Superfund program, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s (NRC) decommissioning program, or other federal or state cleanup programs.

I hope you know that the Fire in Nr.4 was not a nuclear Fire,
not the Rods burned but some Oil or Fat (i do not remember exactly)

Building Nr.4 got re-inforced in the Weeks and Months after
the Quake and is stable. We discussed this Ad Nauseum
because our all Friends A. Gundershill claimed something
(the Instability of that Building) without ever had been there.

I still have the Files about the Re-Inforcement of the Structure
and even think that it is the most stable Building in Fukushima

i could look for a direct link if you need it!

@ Pyramid Head: Blubber, Blubber

Do get mad at me because you cant BS your way through a conversation. I was just giving my professional opinion. I could have explained more in an easier context for you but you wanted to act like you knew what you were talking about and argue nonsense. You want to risk damage to your DNA, your kids, your grand-kids, more power to you.

You can only lead a horse to water............

In the World of the Internet everyone is a Beauty,
a Winner, the most Richest, the Best or even a Prof. in Oncology

@ RickinVa.,

i know i made a mistake because i used "imo." again
but on more Time the meaning of it is:
" In my Opinion"!

Sometimes Fuel Rods are just Fuel Rods,
and not dry Cigarettes!

It was an employee from your 'hero' Tepco who affirmed the fuel rods are like a pack of broken cigarettes and added 'except imagine it is lit'. Why would you argue that?!?

As for pyramid's 5th post and not delivering anything - in your opinion - you've delivered hundreds in virtually every thread in the Japan forum full of snipes, personal attacks, and have been rude enough to get what a few dozen posts deleted? I'm amazed you haven't been banned for continually attacking the players. Nearly every thread has come to a halt... with one name in common to them all... hmm... soon you will be talking all by yourself.

@'Wished,

you are exactly the same like him, "Hot Air"
without any Substance at all,
Read some Files instead of Jimbobfreelance,
read Springer instead of Enenews and return to Reality
than living in your strange World of dark Thoughts!

You do not even know the amount of bad Rods
and do not even know how much they are bend
because you do not look for it!

But Ganbatte na,
every Student need Time,
the only importing thing is that he is on the Way!

To stay on topic, I wasn't aware there were any results from the one I was watching (kelp study)

Same one I think.... thats good news and now they have a baseline to go by.
