Alone at Google-Scholar i am able to locate more than 2.000 Scientific Reports
in a direct Relationship with "Fukushima Dai-ichi"
Check Source

A "Cover Up" look very different, at least in my Opinion.

Should someone who had planned on moving to Oregon soon refrain from doing so on account of this disaster?

I have taken Red cross CPR/first aid classes every couple of years since I was ten. In that time they have changed how to do CPR at least four times. This is related only in that as we learn new things procedures need to be adjusted.

Is radiation bad? Some types tremendously yet without others we die. Is it not possible that the EPA has learned that we can put up with a bit more than previously thought? I would venture a yes on that one. Although I have not done the research on that move by the EPA yet.

I once asked ATS'ers to research the money behind several scientists claiming Fukushima was not doom yet. I had already done it but what amazed me the most is the number of opinions people had yet they ALL failed to do the research on a single scientist or who paid them. A couple actually posted up radiation maps that were debunked months ago as tsunami maps.

It actually caused me to nearly drop this site entirely as it became clear that opinions are much more important than truth here lately.

Your sources are all alarmist websites.

Are you serious? Do you know what radiation does to cells and DNA?
I work in cellular biology, you are delusional if you think any amount of radiation is "safe". Pick up a cytopathology book sometime, they have interesting pictures of what cells look like when exposed to radiation. It ACCUMULATES.

No one can possibly know the real effects of fukishima because no one is actually INVESTIGATING it. To dismiss a bunch of radioactive material in the ocean is a real lack of common sense.

I guess this thread was created so you can feel cool using the phrase "doom porn". Mission complete, your cool now.

When you really work in cellular Biology than you must know
that "Cell Death" and DNA Breaks are a part of their Cycle!

There are Levels and Types of Radiation which are harmless,
others are helpful and a few are Deadly.

Please explain how cell death and breaks are relevant. I specifically work with cancer and observe cellular changes. There are not "very few" types of Radiation that are "good" for you, because you accumulate it. I just spent a year in so-cal, the amount of thyroid cases I did on a daily basis was disturbing. Are the two related, don't know. Didnt stay to find out though.

Believe what ever you want, if you want to listen to the MSM be my guest. It has been my personal experience in this field that just about anything that is not natural will harm you genetically. Radiation is one of the worst though. Try asking the navy sailors who went to fukishima about the "safe levels" they were exposed to.

The "Plume" of Fukushima was, of course, not harmless
and no one here said this

Cells come and Cells go on a daily Level,
none of them is made to stay for ever.

I guess I can bring Pacific fish back into my diet.....mmm....no thanks

If you bothered to do five minutes of basic research you would know that the dead fish you are talking about are NOTHING NEW and you would also know that starfish are certainly not "melting." And you would also know...actually, you know what? It's not worth it. You are completely right. Everyone is doomed. Except you. Because, wisdom. Lol...

Well if we are going to be calling people out for not doing any research.
How about this.

The Tokyo Electric Power Company (Tepco) had originally said the radiation emitted by the leaking water was around 100 millisieverts an hour. However, the company said the equipment used to make that recording could only read measurements of up to 100 millisieverts. The new recording, using a more sensitive device, showed a level of 1,800 millisieverts an hour.

www.bbc.co.uk...

Nine days after the accident, the radioactive cloud had crossed Northern America.

www.sciencedaily.com...

Fallout from the 2011 Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power facility in Japan was measured in minimal amounts in precipitation in the United States in about 20 percent of 167 sites sampled in a new nationwide study.

www.sciencedaily.com...

Every baby in this state, in this country, every newborn baby is tested for certain diseases, one of which is hypothyroidism. And we looked at California, which, of course, is the most populated state, and we looked at the changes in the rates of hypothyroidism for the nine months after Fukushima compared to the previous year, and we found a 26 percent increase in the rate of hypothyroidism

truth-out.org...

Because ocean currents disperse radiation far and wide via giant eddies and whirlpools, the full impact on our ocean food supply may not be known for years.Scientists do know that the plume of radioactivity from the meltdown is making its way across the Pacific and they expect it to hit sometime in February 2014. The radiation will continue to travel for at least 10 years.

I'm not a Climate Denier as you put it, so what does that tell you about your warped opinion? Seems to me your just trolling the threads that deals with Fukushima.

I left a response to your last post on another thread, will you be answering or are you just Trolling today?

I think the main issue is that the worlds MSM have been very quite on this subject and so people have looked for alternative sources of information and as you quite rightly noted this is not always correct.

For anyone to categorically state that nothing bad is going to happen from the incident in Fukishima is at the very best burying their head in the sand.

I can see from your avatar that you live in Japan so you more than most people on this site should have first hand experience of what is happening in your own country.

I have access to ocean and seafood info you don't have or info you don't know where to find on the web.

My bias is toward the truth. Not what if....

ATS used to be good back in the day, so my first assumption is a Fukushima thread on ATS might have some helpful info, but no....

I read the thread, check my sources and then I shake my head.

People like you and others think it's a game. You're guessing the outcome before it even happens, hence the conspiracy. Then it's just a shouting match and your only counter argument is they are hiding the truth. Blah
waste of my time.

Yeah, i am here in Japan and really concerned about this
Accident but i also know that we had and have a lot of Luck
until now 1.30Pm.

The MSM need to act responsible and this is the huge
difference between Journalism and Blogging,
Newspapers like the Guardian, NY-Times or Asahi Shimbun,
etc. can't write about Things that do not happened,
Rt, the Voice of Russia or other Yellow Press can!

The real Press is not dead, quite or even silenced,
i can say exactly the same thing about the Medics,
the Sociologist or Engineers!

So share your sources that you have, and explain why you have them, i.e is it for your work, are you a scientist etc? Just saying you have info that no one else on ATS has and that gives you the edge on these discussions is a tad pompous.

I have copied and pasted my response to your other post here, just in case you never read it as it has the same relevance to this thread as the other one;

So what if people on this thread have stated they don't want to eat food from the Pacific Ocean, I love sushi myself but wont eat it at the moment or anything else that comes from the Pacific Ocean until such time I know its completely safe.

You see the issue with ATS regarding these kinds of threads is people like you who say "nothing to see here, carry on" do so in such a detrimental and obnoxious way" that its very hard to take you seriously. You and others seem to think that by attacking other threads who do not agree with your own points of view will change the opinions of others. As I discussed with Phage earlier on in this thread, nothing wrong with discussing the issues but once you start getting personal and thinking you know everything that there is to know about this subject, you loose a lot of credibility. Want to make a change? change the way you converse with other users on ATS.

Totally concur with your points and if the MSM did cover the incident then folk here on ATS would not have to look elsewhere for information about this incident.

But some good news as "Game Over Man" is in possession of data that no one else on ATS has been privy to, perhaps they can share this information with the rest of us

great come back....you really cleared things up on this issue. You have so much knowledge and insight to share with all of us.....

You know....they are telling the Japanese the very same thing you just told me.......they tell it to them even when they are in the hospital with obvious radiation sickness.

I have no problem if you want to eat sushi rolls made from sea weed imported from Japan.....knock yourself out
