Meh, life eh? Much better to be at ATS home! What's your eldest up too?

There were a few peeps in today, but not like normal.. I think they must all be in recovery.

You know, I just tried asking my dad if he had a capo, first time I typed it into the Youtube search bar, second time I text my bestie. Rehab me thinks.

OK, I'm dampening down the embers of the fire, puttin' the hoover away, turning off the stereo, lettin' the cat out (Do We Even Have A Cat??? LOL) Finishing off the wine (I had a nice Rose tonight!!!) and bidding you all a fond farewell, adieu, seeyouramorra etc.

What's up with your eldest Gordi? How old is he?

Today snow and ice came rolling off our roof and the neighbor's roof and landed in our driveway. No cars were getting out today. Then if that wasn't bad enough,on the other side of the house, more snow and ice from the roof and the entire gutter came off the damned house. That should end up costing my elderly Mother some big bucks and they probably won't be able to fix that until Spring.

Can't break away from this depression. Medical costs alone is enough to bring ya down.
No getting ahead, no good news to look forward to, only bad stuff. Someone shoot me.

Eldest is only 8, but he's having... problems with being... over-emotional???
Has had a couple of toilet accidents, and burst out crying in the street this morning, because his friend ran away from him??

Like.. 20 feet away from him??

Trying to get to the bottom of it, but he's not ready to communicate yet. Just letting him know that I'm here and if anything's bothering him, I can help, but It would help me - if he can tell me whats wrong.
I don't think it's anything too bad, he's quite sensitive, intelligent, bright as a button, but sometimes just gets too... concerned about stuff that's not important??? Does that make sense? He's over-sensitive about what other people think....

Wow....just posted my response above, and when page refreshed this BEAUTIFUL blue eyed baby is full screen smiling at me! I'm a sucker for babies....think I should have been a midwife like my great grandmother!

Thank you so much for asking about my wee boy Callum.
He's fine. I'm in his corner. I'm 6'3" and 16 stone, If anything or anyone is hurting him I will crush them.
(I suspect that he's just a wee bit over-sensitive and will settle down as he grows older and more mature).

I am however, a wee bit worried about you.
I am not unfamiliar with depression.

In the short time I have had the pleasure of your company, I have grown to understand that you are strong-willed, compassionate and kind. You have a good heart and have been great company in the rainbow room!

Advice? Don't take too much upon yourself! Anyone can only do so much.

We are like a wee family in here.

I trust these people, with my secrets, my troubles, my life.

Sounds Crazy? Maybe. But I have yet to meet a soul that I didn't admire, like, and trust in here.

I'm getting swamped as I speak - they forgot to clear our drains over here, so now in addition to the ice mounds, we have our own private swimming pool. Speaking of gutters, my 8ft icicles all have left the building.

Awwww....look at him! There's wisdom beyond his years in those eyes.....I can see why he's sensitive to this world....it's a very strange place to him, and who can blame him?

Cherish the years as he's growing Gordi....mine have all but flown the coup....bring on the grandchildren I say!
