As I read down the thead, the whole time I'm lol. This is the ultimate satire, not even imagined on any satire site or comedy act. Nobody, as far as I know, broke this far down the expanding envelope and envisioned the United States Post Office buying lots and lots of guns and ammunition. The post office arming itself. lol. When the hell did this happen, and on whose authority how far up line???? What an idiotic thing to do. This is just plain stupid.

What are they going to do, war with the populace? The post office against the world? Is it a coup in progress, are they planning on taking over all the seats of government. Has the most tedious job on earth driven all of them crazy at the same time? It's the stuff of movies.

It seems to me that the Fed is making a major blunder.

They seem to be thinking that in a SHTF scenario they want all of 'Their' people armed and the more the merrier.

In a conflict they are adding up numbers of them and us.

The problem they face is that their 'us' numbers include a great many who may choose to be on the other side. All of these Federal workers are also mums and dads, uncles and aunties.

I cannot see the posties siding with the hardened FBI agents. In fact many of the FBI agents may choose to switch sides.

But hey, who is next. Why not arm the tea ladies and laddies, with pump action riot shotguns.

P

Let me guess why they are doing this…It may be the feds need more warehouse room to store the ammo to make it more difficult for the general public to acquire.
The price and availability of new ammo will reduce the number of rounds the thugs may have to dodge when the SHTF!
It may be time to go postal soon?

If they buy all the ammo...it changes the game.

They buy the ammo, so we can't.

Ammo, coffins, camps, and then gun bans equal genocide.
Lets hope the people wake up soon.

Say you are right (I don't buy it for a second, it's just not going to happen) and this happens in your universe. In your universe, did you ever imagine that the genocide would be run by the post office? lollol

I knew a few postal workers, and my favorite story is this one guy who's job was "throwing flats" - which means the guy who puts the magazines and larger envelopes into the sections reserved for individual postal carriers. The guy never said a word. All night long he'd work and not say a word. The new guy asked the other people why. All they could say was that "he used to talk, but quit a couple of years ago."

You are way too funny…Obama love me?
May it is because I have the heart of a liberal…in a jar on my desk maybe!
If people can’t hear the drums of war they must be deft.

The Post Office (not that I want to defend them) actually have armed postal police. They are responsible for investigating crimes related to illegal actions that use the Post Office (guns / drugs / Fraud / identity theft / etc). They are fully commissioned with full arrest authority.

United States Postak Inspection Service

Well this is the first time I have heard of them, but it makes sense now.

There is no way I could imagine Fred my local postman being any kind of threat. He doesn't like to get out of his postal truck unless absolutely necessary. Well even then he doesn't like it.

Many agencies never had an enforcement arm to begin with, did the Social Security administration add one because retirement aged people need swat teams to contain them if they drink one too many cans of ensure? Just curious. (actually just kidding),When the media says it's for their "enforcement divisions" it lessens the impact of the overall true meaning of what it means for all these agencies to have these armed divisions. That is scary all by itself.

By the way, if 3 prunes are enough, would 4 be too many?

I think this is happening because America's constitution breaker hates guns and has made it clear he will use any, and all methods that he can to get rid of them somehow. He appointed only people that he knows will always obey him, so I'm thinking this another cockamamie little scheme. Sure, postal inspectors need ammo too, but I wonder how they usually buy ammo, Never heard of this being done before when these agencies publically announce ammo purchases..

Just playing devils advocate here but wouldn't the enforcement branch of the post office need to be armed in cases where they are investigating when drugs and firearms are involved? I do remember some news stories where those things were being mailed. Think about going to a place where you suspect chemicals were delivered to make meth.

I can say that any ammo used is supposed to be issued by the agency they work for otherwise there is much deadlier ammo on the market if left up to the individual.

I wish we could have bought and used our own ammo in the military, but that was punishable under the UCMJ.

I guess I am asking more questions here than answering anything.

If they are smart they could make a killing on bundling and retailing 22LR. Go to your local post office for a block. Not like there is anyone else selling them so they could actually not have to raise the price of stamps every six months.

Yeah the USPS needs that.. the one that really angers me a lot is the IRS buying all their killing toys. I probably will quit filing income taxes either this one or the next years, I just don't have any respect for these idiots in government that think they can simply opt out and then be ready to rock weapon wise against people who supposedly can't opt out.
Right now it is safe to say that he has a lot of schemes already begun and some probably illegally classified to hide the illegality of them for gun controls and or, gun purchases for these interagency armed services that have suddenly become big budget responsibilities.

but he doesn't care, it isn't his money, plus when he gets these types of things funded, I'm sure the contract winners send along fat bonuses to his offshore accounts. Rahm and Tony Rezko and Obama's other Mafia connections probably have their hands in all his pies too, just like they did when they helped him win his senate seat.

I know I get drifting here and there, but everything our government is doing right now are all linked up with these anti citizen agenda's transpiring at full steam ahead, And I know the ammo schemes are part of them with a nice cloak of deniability attached..while things like jobs and things are left to deteriorate faster and farther than ever before. The treasonous guy calling himself the US President is not looking out for one single American person for their well being or their hope of having a future without misery. His number 1` goal right now, "Get those guns" . Then he begin the real goal of some nice fun mass death rituals for his master. Plus, those who support him still have simply put their own heads on the chopping block for him. I cant imagine liking a person that much where I would give up my ability to choose my own fate.

Fred is a member of the post office sleeper cell. They literally look like they could be sleeping on the job, but they are the most dangerous ones....

Seriously, who needs genocide when your populace shows up demanding food and other supplies armed. ''Nothing to see here, return to your homes'' followed by ''Use of live ammunition authorised'' and then ''chitty chitty BANG BANG....''

The current US isn't my America anymore, my America died when I was in high school.

So now the USPS is arming up as well? In the face of ammo shortages, massive Fed buy ups of ammo and the closing down of our lead smelting plants.....it frustrates me to see even the Postal Service buying ammo.

But the question remains.....Why?

this progressive-socialist administration (that does the bidding of the secret globalist puppet masters)

is compounding the 'deficit' spending in a program (it seems) to further bankrupt the country.... and bring things like military retirements and social security payments under fire, before these two items of spending were supposed to be reviewed for cuts & rollbacks

the combined unwarrented spending on ammo & urban personnel carriers, mobile shelters, coffins, medical /hospital tents together with the wealth-stealing qualities in ØbamaCare are resulting in the targeting of many entitlement programs for extreme rollbacks or sizable reductions in what used-to-be righteous payments to American Citizens for their service, unemployment status and past actions that built the country over the decades

Øbama says You Did Not Build It....(so He is unilaterally taking away from You, your just rewards you have earned)

the idea of all this extensive and ultra-wasteful spending is to cut all spending programs that actually help the people, Øbama wants all of the outsiders to come crawling on their knees for 'his' help

I think that is part of the strategy. But it won't stop crime anytime soon since a person only needs a few bullets to do one.

Why these ammo purchases..? I think because of this thread...

ATS Thread

It is because of the upcoming hyperinflation of the dollar... The USA will become the most dangerous country to live in and every US service agency must protect its people. Even the postman will be carrying a loaded gun..

And that is not the end of the story...It might probably well become the situation that this particular caliber and cartridge will become illegal for citizens to buy. This because of a strategy to unarm the population of the USA. You can be in possesion of the gun but not allowed to buy the bullet.

The USPS has a federal investigation unit to investigate crimes. It is basically an FBI version for the postal service. Most likely it is for these crime investigation groups. They occasionally even investigate murders and such.

Most people don't know about them because you don't hear much about them. But if a major crime has been committed involving the mail service, these people get involved including murder investigations.

So no, they are not arming postal workers.

As we said in a recent post, our office has criminal investigators, or special agents, who are responsible for investigating violations of the laws that govern SSA’s programs. Currently, about 295 special agents and supervisory special agents work in 66 offices across the United States. These investigators have full law enforcement authority, including executing search warrants and making arrests.

OK, so does anyone actually know how much ammo is being requested in the purchase order? Because really 295 - maybe 350 people isn't really that many.

So if the purchase order is for like, say, 35,000, that would sort of make sense, imagining they using a clip in a gun that holds ten rounds, that's 10 clips each, and saves money buying in bulk, right?

So I guess if we don't know the amount, we can't get real excited about it yet.

(Just an example, as I have no idea what they do use for guns.)

Oh c'mon! "Going Postal" had to come from somewhere! It's hard to validate that phrase if your grungy looking, overpaid, mean, fat mail carriers aren't armed! Plus, you never know if they need to protect themselves from some wackjob Tea Partier!
