Holy crap... Why are you so die hard against this private company choosing to not sell cigarettes?
Hell between Diet pills, soft drinks, candy bars, chips, and latest dietary fashion statement CVS pulls 'cigarettes'.
While it is their perogative to sell what ever they want. They are not fooling anyone with this 'statement'.
They are a private company who chose to stop selling a product that brings them in $2B in revenue. Big whoop, obviously they have weighed and measured their choice against their financial summaries, clearly they can afford to do it.
What's wrong with a company standing up and saying; "We don't think smoking is a healthy habit and we don't want to encourage anyone from taking it up?".

A company says, "we are Christian, we don't believe in gay weddings, we don't want to participate"
-gets lambasted.
A company says, "we won't accept guns in our restaurants"
-gets applause
A company says, "we will close if we have to pay for abortions"
-gets lambasted
A company says, "we won't sell cigarettes"
-gets applause
I see a trend here.

So boycott CVS like you boycott Coca-Cola.
LMFAO
I am going to using the boycott line about guns now since that is what people are suppose to 'do'.

I really wish I could thumb down posts... I really do.
I didn't miss that... I addressed that in my post;
"We don't think smoking is a healthy habit and we don't want to encourage anyone from taking it up?"
What do YOU THINK their statement is?

Clearly everyone hates religion?
The only link there between what is lambasted vs applause is that they are religious in tone.
A lot of people have various different beliefs (political, not religious) in regards to what they support.
From the applause, it is clear people love it when people exercise their own beliefs through their private businesses.
If however, any of those applause moments came via legislation, I can guarantee there would not be any applause.

It was a general post not directed at anyone in particular.
I am going to using the boycott line about guns now since that is what people are suppose to 'do'.
Like you don't already make everything about guns? And is that argument supposed to mean something to someone that's pro-2nd?

Your absolutely right, the progressive agenda is trying to make people quit smoking and eat healthy, so you really should revolt against the nasty progressives and smoke 3 packs a day and overeat by huge margains...that will no doubt show us...
