I would like ATS to confirm the validity of this article, but it seems as though it is credible. It states Yellowstone had a major swarm of quakes that caused off the chart readings. I'm questioning the validity because it shows readings like 9.0+ and also one that was 10.7 magnitude.

From Turner Radio Network 02-03-2014

A seismometer inside a borehole at Yellowstone National Park has begun reporting staggering underground activity near the southwest corner of Yellowstone Lake, possibly signaling the beginning of an eruption of the Super Volcano at the Yellowstone National Park. TRN has obtained the image of the Seismograph report and now YOU can see it for yourself! This could be very nasty. . . (UPDATED 2-3-2014 9:00 AM)

They also used Turner Radio which concerns me. Yellowstone concerns me more, however, so better safe than sorry.

Turner Radio Network is a hoax network, and has been recently banned from ATS. Whew, I'm glad this used Turner as a source. Yellowstone is a mean mistress, aye.

I didn't know it was fully banned. I remember a lot of legitimate articles coming from there. Still am going to monitor this for a few days.

Better safe than sorriest. But the thread will have a half life of minutes. Thanks for keeping an eye out though.

yellow stone erupting is about one disaster NO one is prepared for, it would end civilization as we know it.

North america would be a near total lost, the rest of the world would face extinction due to food supply failures.

Honestly, its one disaster I chose to not care about, if it happens, Ill plop a lawn chair, crack a beer, and watch the fireworks.

Its not even like an asteroid, there is no defense.

Not even to begin to mention the possibility it turns into a Verne shot, basically a giant earth cannon that fires all the rocks into the atmosphere to rain down and destroy.

There's also this: Geyser erupts after 2.5 year hiatus

Wow, I got put in Hoax fast. I'm kind of hoping it blows now. I don't like being thrown in with fakes.

That verneshot thing was pretty neat. I had never heard of that before and will have to do a little reading on that. The wiki was a bit too technical for me to understand without pictures to reference though.

I'm still extremely new to ATS as an interactive member. I've been visiting the site for a few years though. Forgive me if I'm going about this all wrong. That being said:

Here is a link to see live seismographs in the Yellowstone area:
quake.utah.edu...

Here is one where you can see recently recorded earthquakes from around there too (last hour, last day, and last week).
www.seis.utah.edu...

Like someone else already commented it was likely a hoax. I don't see much to suggest any activity on the scale you've mentioned. But if you want to keep track of Yellowstone there is the place to do it. Cheers!

Hello JohnFisher, and welcome to ATS. Have fun here, and you seem like someone who knows lots of the ropes already.

As for the OP hoping that Yellowstone blows just to be proven right, dude, that's cold. lol.

Sure, sure. smiley face here. I knew you weren't serious, to be serious you'd have to have the heart of George W. Bush and the morals of, well, George W. Bush.

If there were a 9.'er we would know but it's good people are always keeping an eye out. I'm more worried about those poor animals surviving -40 degree temps. They do it every year, and they suffer the hardship but it always amazes me.

Back to the park - Bob Smith had stated, in Sept I think, that he hadn't seen two swarms as close together in all his years of studying it (2013 swarms). California was quaking in 2013 too - and then, both suddenly fell silent (have calmed down anyway). I know Yellowstone does this with ups and downs but the unusual double swarm, along with quakes in NE California had me paying attention.

If there was +10 Magnitude earthquake, people would have noticed it. Do you have any idea how much energy 10.7 would release? People would have felt it hundreds of miles away. It would destroy everything, from roads to buildings. Even the ground would tear apart. And that would surely trigger the Yellowstone eruption, no doubt about it.

well she's had 700.000 years to fill up / reload ..... when she's releases it will be the main question......
