Regardless, it's been an exciting read, and must have been something to witness!

yup

If I were to take an uneducated guess, I would say that you just witnessed a military test flight. The loud boom you heard (subsequently followed by a second, lower boom) was more than likely a jet, of some sort, breaking the sound barrier. The additional planes are simply flying maneuvers with the sonic jet.

The "halo" or "dark rainbow" around the sun is an unrelated event. Given the cold temperatures, the sun halo is normal. And considering the same cold temperatures, that "sun burn" you feel is probably more along the lines of freezer burn.

Kids just came in and asked what happened to my face. Told them what happened, my son who saw the craft the other night asked "Why is this in the Grey area"??? This is where # gets buried down. Now he is my skeptic, my voice of reason, my grounding and level headed source. He KNOWS what I told him is fact.

But good lord, there comes a point...

edit on 3-2-2014 by redhorse because: annoyed typing

Yup, their comes a point where people's interpretations/rumors/speculations (not in anyway saying that was the OP) no longer suffice.

How you coming with that 1 single piece of proof that can't be argued on the various threads where we have both been involved?

From 2013 ~ but the date these sounds were heard was February 3rd. Probably just coincidence but strange it was one year ago today.

Strange sounds mystify Missouri residents

Springfield residents are wondering what the loud booms were that they heard this weekend. Government officials are investigating but have no idea what the noises were or where they came from.
According to ABC news affiliate KSPR, witnesses called in to report loud booms from 6:30 to 8:30 PM on Feb. 3. The callers were from Aurora, Mount Vernon, Nixa, Ozark, and Reeds Spring. Officials haven't yet determined what caused the odd noises. The last earthquake which was anywhere near the Ozarks, was recorded in Oklahoma City. It was more than 12 hours before the witness reports.

Shouldn't you get that checked?
Your face.

There haven't been any other reports. Most households have a computer with internet, and most people have a camera and twitter in their pocket. At the very least we'd see dozens if not hundreds of people reporting loud explosions and fighter jets. Why bother judging OP by his/her claims of psychic SOS signals, when you can just see if there is any evidence to corroborate his/her claims? Isaac Newton was an alchemist, but that doesn't discredit his theories on gravity. Just consider evidence. I would think that, by now, there would be at least local reports of the event... and there aren't. The OP can not be the only person to notice 5 goddamned figher jets and explosions.

Asking for proof is not a bad thing, wrong, disinformation or insulting to the OP regardless of if they have been here a long time or not.

Perception can easily paint what a person thinks they see and maybe Antar believes in UFOs. Maybe all they saw were jets escorting a drone or some other tool.

I am utterly amazed that people here are willing to believe someone just because they have been here a long time.

I think you're misunderstanding what's going on here. Look at the posts of those who have supported Antar. Notice, most of them are SKEPTICS. Look at their post history. Look at Antar's post history. No one is taking anything for granted, as far as what she saw. But speaking for myself. If she says she saw something out of the ordinary. I believe her, and I'd be willing to bet she did.

Just a reminder..and I'm in this thread as a member, so a reminder is ALL I can share...yet, still..

From Tenth's work in forming a description for this Forum recently...

The Gray Area is a discussion forum that provides a dedicated area for members to post their confessions, disclosures, and related extraordinary personal experiences. Like the highly speculative Skunk Works forum, The Gray Area will tolerate topics that may be unusually hypothetical or unproven for the purpose of vetting the stories of thread-starters by the ATS membership at large. By nature, The Gray Area tends to involve unproven claims and anecdotal testimony that may arouse skepticism in some members.

Proof is something to demand outside Gray Area and Skunk Works. One for personal and direct experiences...and one for indirect stories or 2nd hand knowledge.

A place for everything and everything in it's place.

Skeptics don't take things on faith. Giving a person the benefit of the doubt, for no reason other than anecdote/post history, is not of a skeptic. At best, I'd call the people supporting OP hopeful.

Edit: "Proof is something to demand outside Gray Area and Skunk Works. One for personal and direct experiences...and one for indirect stories or 2nd hand knowledge. "

Ah. Well in that case, I'm never coming back here. If I wanted sci-fi fanfic I'd join a writer's board.

Edit 2: To clarify. Personal experiences regarding PERSONAL events are fair. A person has a vision, sees a ghost, or some other unverifiable PERSONAL experience, is perfectly fair. But when it comes to 5 pedal to the metal jets fighting a UFO... draw the line SOMEWHERE. I could post saying that I just saw the moon wink at me and then hop over to venus. Would that be acceptable?

Oh nevermind..A mod showed up..
This is a believe everything forum while the asking for proof forum is a different thread.

I hope that your mental image helped the tumbling object Antar and that your face wasn't damaged in any way.

Oh my. For just joining ATS today, you surely know a lot about this forum and its inner workings. Since you're already chanting the "Deny Ignorance" mantra you must be very smart.

Sometimes it isn't about Denying Ignorance, but Denying ARROGANCE. Every single person has seen something in their lifetime that they could not provide any proof of,if asked to. FACT. That does not mean they didn't experience something. Imho,to attack, and invalidate anyone only shows what type of person YOU are,and not the other. I have seen far too much of this hateful expression on here as of late. It is becoming impossible to have a decent discussion in an adult manner without a few choice immature comments and outright hostility. It seems nobody is even allowed a differing opinion,or the right to back up someone who has proven credibility. Ats membership used to strive to rise above all that.

I am calling bull poo poo on this one, in regards to the small metallic object warbling in the sky, until some kind of evidence is presented.

I apologize, but that is just the way it has to be these days you know. ~$heopleNation

Look what has happened to this thread. Most of it was spent focused on Antar, yet if we focused on researching and calling people to find more evidence, or lack thereof.......we would be better off and closer to finding out what happened.

It's why I never post in the UFO boards.

I get enough abuse in the political forums.
