My opinion is:

Alex Jones = MAD-MAN
David Icke = OVER_EXAGGERATOR
Jesse Ventura = COOL GUY - BEEN THERE, DONE THAT.

Con artists? Not Really.
Money generators? Yes, really.

Good-day!
edit on 2-2-2014 by mekhanics because: (no reason given)

no, Jones is not a mad man. He is a snake oil salesman who knows that his audience will allow themselves to be exploited.

Icke does not "exaggerate". He lies in order to sell books. He is an Alex Jones wannabe

Ventura is too dumb to realize that he has been duped

Are you sure about that last part?

I doubt that many people who are as dumb as Ventura appears to be have made it through BUD/S

eta; icke is not a jones wannabe. He serves the same purpose but is in place to appeal to a different audience.

These people are in place to lead people away from the idea of promoting thought and questioning what they have been told is true.

If you say so. I imagine most people would say it's the exact opposite of that.

Who is most people? Most people in their target audiences?

Are you familiar with these terms:

World View Warfare
Perception Management
Psy Ops
Propaganda

?

I would imagine you are.
What is the most important quality of effective propaganda?

I don't have a negative opinion of Ventura based on his television program. He was hired as the host of a program intended to be both entertaining and informative. And I think he did his job well. I think he did attempt to take the subject matter of at least some of the shows seriously. The global warming and Denver airport shows were memorable to me and I think they had some value. In any event, his team investigated things and reported on it. I'm not sure how much in common he has with the other two.

Shouldn't be too hard to prove you wrong OP, seeing as how you've provided no examples, proof, or even a mild quote from any of these people to back your argument, which is an overused, annoying fashionable argument in the alternative community, and I'm getting quite tired of hearing people point the finger at theorists when they have no honest idea how "real" those people are.

I don't know everything, but I don't think these people would be giving their entire lives to something if it was all a sham. Let me show you a few things.

Weather or not you believe 9/11 was an inside job, you can't deny the logic behind Ventura's argument on fox, explaining how "governments do things to get us into war."

These people are only human beings, same as you and me. You're seeing them through a glass eye, like they're some above-all idols, and some mastermind has them attached to puppet strings in order to do their bidding.

That's not the case. They are, like the rest of us, just people.

Your take on the conspiracies of the conspiracy community are not going to correspond perfectly with their personal take. That does not outright make them con-artists, that makes them human beings with their own personal opinions on conspiracy theories.

And just in case anyone wants to make the "Alex Jones is an evil zionist CIA agent" argument (which, as I see it, is an unbelievably ignorant and fanciful way to paint a holier-than-thou conspiracy behind a conspiracy), if he was an evil jew out to rule the world, why would he talk about Khazarian Jews on his show? The "fake" jews who apparently rule the world?

Its arrogant and annoying of folks to assume some particular sect of people rule the world, unless you're talking about the wealthy. One of the richest families in the world happens to have a Khazarian Jewish background. Does that mean that Jews rule the world? Of course not. It means, with the help of many other wealthy families that are NOT Jewish at all, the rich rule the rest of us, regardless of our age, color, or country of origin.

Its immature and almost child-like to suggest a particular race is out to get the rest of us. Try not to throw labels at people. PEOPLE are out to get other PEOPLE. The only difference between us and them is this; They have the money.

David Icke is a little more "out there" than Ventura or Jones, and while he's not someone I regularly listen to, the point is he's out there spreading conspiracy theorists like the rest of them, and he does make some valid points.

Simplified, OP, here you go;

Don't go making assumptions about people when you have no IDEA how "real" or "true" they really are. The closest you will ever get to knowing the truth is to form your own opinion, from your own point of view, and not listen to everyone else (which happens a lot on ATS), who like to moan and whine about Jesse Ventura doesn't know what he's talking about, Alex Jones is a Zionist shill, I don't trust anything, boo hoo...

This thread is a joke.

Alex has been called crazy for a long time, yet time after time he is proven right. Read the works and articles he references, Jones doesn't just make things up, he doesn't need to. And I find lumping Icke in with Jones to be disingenuous at best.

Love them or loth them, but trust me they are on the right lines! I personally wish I had their guts to stand up and say what they say.

I have met whom I will refer to as the 'others' and trust me its not for the faint hearted, let alone standing on a public platform and talking about it! I tried to contact David Icke at the time and he probably thinks I am a nutter after what I told him ... and I was ignored. Unless of course he never received my e mail in the first place. I will never know.
They said Green peace were a bunch of nutters once and now who has proved to be right!!

If you want the proof I can give it to you, but you would need to be a brave person and so would I. Hell if I went into that situation again I would want the full force of the Met with me. NO WAY would I go it alone ... were talking hospitals here, not stick people running around probing the dirt in fields!!! This is serious stuff!

They say ignorance is bliss!!

If you are going to say "if you want prove i can show you" Then just show us and don't start your next sentence with 'but'.
That is what the OP was doing and that is why he got jumped on. I would love to see your prove of 'others' and I am sure just about any one else on this site does as well. We are all pretty brave, think we can handle it

People must understand that these people are con artists. Whether or not people pay them to spread disinformation, I do not know, but the fact remains - they spread disinformation.

If you haven't noticed, anyone who is a celebrity in the world of conspiracy theories is spreading disinformation.

These celebrities are for entertainment only. "Can you believe people fall for this insanely obvious tactic?" type of deal. You will hear more truth in a politician's speech than in a celebrity conspiracy theorist's rants.

Anyone who would debate this obvious truth is....shall we say special.

These people are in place to lead people away from the idea of promoting thought and questioning what they have been told is true.

So you make claims without any evidence to back it up. Ventura backs up his claims with info something you have failed to do. So how long have you been spreading disinformation?

Ok, well lets put it like this..

If I gave you names, places etc, then I would be breaching my own personal security. Not that they 'others' are really worried, because they know no one believes me. However it might cause quite a stir in a major teaching hospital if I bunch of conspiracy theorists turned up out side. I mean the NHS is in enough # as it is with out claims of aliens working and living amongst us.
I don't think my better half would be too chuffed either. He knows and is keeping a dignified silence, which I respect him for. As I said on ATS once before one call and he could have me sectioned by bed time. He is not a Doctor and I am not a liar!!

I can give out as many clues as you want to make your own judgement, but trust me it's not a good idea. You will never feel the same again about anything. All I used to do was cry .. especially when I saw little children going to school! Breaks my heart to know what I know. I wonder what their future will be? I wonder what ours is?

Ask and I will go as far as I can ... all I can say really. I'm not dodging the question at hand, just being realistic.

Well your moniker here on ATS is happiness and your mood is very happy so things must have gotten better. I guess the only way I would ever know what would happen to me is to find out. How about if you really want to to share with me, just PM what you are able without stepping on the others toes.

All I can say is I do actually think "All the worlds a stage" when I think of the media and people like Jones and Ventura.

It kinda fits into my belief not to trust anyone that isn't directly involved with my life.

But as far as TV, radio and even the internet I don't trust and I possibly will verify.

Who cares if you like any of them or hate them, they are just actors on a stage in a looooong line of actors on a stage in a profession that has been around for a long time... entertainment. That is what they are. If you take them seriously then maybe you need to re-evaluate your position. Hell, put them all in a wrestling cage match and it would still be just entertainment, Though my money would be on Jesse...

Yes true I am generally a very happy person, all things considered. There is a big difference between happiness and shock. I was in shock and maybe still am. Post traumatic stress disorder, I think is how they couched it. PM me by all means. Please be careful, though. I might be happy, but i'm not a joker ... ask me what you want and I will do my best to answer. It really is so serious you wouldn't sleep.

Not David Ickes words .... these are mine!! hx

Haha very funny.

Sleep paralysis has been used in psychological experimentation. I think everyone knows about that by now. At least everyone who pays attention. It is decades old information. Yawn. It also doesn't mean everyone who gets sleep paralysis is a subject. Shoot, I have had it many times in my youth.

They are not reptiles as world class spy Icke would have you believe; they are just really annoying people who don't pay the people they non consensually gather data on and warp the perceived reality of. See about that not paying people part..... NOT COOL BRO! No one wants to go to work after that #.

Wow, thanks. You are really breaking down barriers here. That completely proves your point.

Alex jones was actually the person that got me to look into the whole conspiracy movement in the first place. I am thankful for that, as ive learned a lot about the secrets our governments among other try to hide from us.

However, it is clear that Jones webpages and radioshow is focused mainly on money. It is almost impossible to listen to any broadcast with him without being bombarded with soap commercials and survival kits one of course HAVE to buy from his online store or we are doomed!
Me and my husband listen to it time to time more for a laugh at him rather then anything else nowadays.

It is clear that both him and Icke go by the principle of "tell some truth, and mix in the lies within them", which gives them alot of followers that believes "well, he WAS right about this this that so he knows what he is talking about!", which makes it very easy to fool people.
