Clicking on thread on main page opens up the advert in App Store !?

Just wondering if this is only me or affecting a few others.

I like to check on ATS via my tablet but when I got to the main ATS page it redirects me to the App Store and opens up a page to download the app advertised on the main page. I have to come out of the app page and go back into ATS. This has only started over last couple of weeks.

It's annoying but I can live with it, just curious if anyone else is experiencing this and if anyone knows of a way to stop it?

Me also. Tried cleaning everything out and restarting Safari, but still happens...

I get this on various sites, including ATS, when on my mobile Apple devises.

My best guess is that some ads are programmed to do this Apple devices (Safari Browser). The only sites that this happens to me on are sites that publish advertisements, such as the ones ATS and other sites that generate ad revenue. Thank you for bringing this up as I was recently wondering about this since it has been happening more frequently.

Yes, I also regularly empty my Cache but it makes no difference. I've been redirected to the game on the main page three times in the last hour. Grrrr.

That could be right actually because the device I'm using is an ipad.

Could be great if they are able to fix this as it is annoying. I've absolutely no idea how else to stop it.

Actually, on my computer it is even worse. I get no less than three adverts when I open ATS. One that covers the whole page and two pop ups. At least the ones on the computer don't leave the internet page though I guess. But if I get one more Mac cleaner pop up that starts talking at me, I may scream.

I get redirects on my laptop when coming to ats , loud ads pretty damn annoying , I did cancel my cable as I hate forced advertisement same with radio.

banner ads are one thing but this is getting ridiculous

If you are getting a lot of ads and aren't on mobile?

Somewherrrre(?)… I read that the more you use the site the less ads you see.

Mods will have to confirm or punish me for that remark…

By the way, that MAC Pop up cleaner ad may be a virus, don't click on it.

I have to go, someone else can link to threads about it, please…

I only get the ads when I'm not signed in. That's all I got.

Restrictions on for "installing Apps and In-App Purchases"

This workes for me too,

What seems to help is in the main iPad Settings menu, go to Restrictions, then select/switch off the App Store things. This works for me, no more redirects. When I turned the restrictions thing off again, to try, safari sent me to the store again. So for now this will have to do..

Do a Google search for it and you'll see that it's not just ATS though, and it has been going on for quite a while.

Yes it's the game of war that it keeps redirecting me to. Aggressive advertising surely has the exact opposite effect, not a chance would I be purchasing anything that so rudely interrupted me.
