According to a few articles on the internet they have statistical data showing that the greater the access to porn, the lower the incidents of rape and sex crimes. A look at the data based on access to the internet showed that those States, in the US, that had greater increases in internet use early on when the internet was becoming easier to access, had lower rates of rape. While crimes like murder showed no change.

Well I am now getting accustomed to the hyperbolic titles on threads. Therapy Today did a pretty good article on the subject which made a pretty convincing case case for porn affecting some people.

As an experiment in consciousness some heavy porn users in a sexual relationship MAY try spending a month or longer without porn just to see what it tells them.

It started for me wanting to see them looking younger and younger and then it wound up for me leading to full blown pedophilia. Yes I was attracted to the slim bodies of minors for a while but I never indulged myself in the interest of rape or BDSM. But the more I witnessed petite girls the more I felt myself becoming attracted to minors and the age interest began to creep lower down for me. Until one day I realized I was actually sexually attracted to the body of girls between 9-12 (although I restricted myself to nonnude).

I have eventually realized that it was a huge perversion that was induced upon me by overconsumption of pornography. Since I have given up looking at porn I have been able to give up my sexual attraction to minors.

It has been a hard struggle but I came to the conclusion that if a person does not consent then it is immoral and wrong. Just because a woman consents to sick sexual acts for money does NOT make it right!!

IMO overconsumption of porn does lead to pedophilia. You may not be lucky like me and wake up one day and say... wait... this isn't right.

I personally (and this is the code I stand by) believe that pornography should not include any sexual acts.. but should be limited to simple nudity (of 18+ ofc). The acts played out in a lot of porn are sick, degrading, and ... evil... Using a woman to do what she does not consent to in the name of capitalism(money) is just plain wrong and twisted.

It is healthy to read such a candid post, for I think Sex which is the flip
side to our spirituality (bad word?), our spirit if you will, is a subject which
deserves a lot more attention.

Sex education as is, is no longer adequate.

porn is frowned upon by some women and men. men and women,ok, that is their choice. Is porn degrading to women because it shows the fairer sex in a state of vulnerability?

I don't think porn leads to paedophilia, the deeper issue is the paedophilia.

Which needs open discussion, to allow healing.

Thinking porn is bad(it just might not be for you) is the area for examination, not the porn itself for sex is at the very core of our being and spirit.
