One will never catch the gazelle by running after it; but the only way to catch it is to run after it.

Sometimes once one learns the first part of this, they have to relearn the second part.

I will venture to say that’s where you are now.

The control loop loves it when we 'assess our own or another's "spiritual state"';
it proves that their work is complete; that we have become totally useless to
ourselves and others.

By the by.. those 'wise sounding paradoxes' are a magician's trick to keep our
rational minds in knots... you'll note that religion and spirituality are full of them..

It’s not only religion filled with paradoxes, knots and tricks…that's just life itself, imo.

I will take away the last part of my post though.

FYI, I'm aware that I sound a bit harsh when it comes to subjects
like spirituality and religion (ya think!).

I never wanted it to be this way. When i was a little boy, I thought
i'd grow up to either be the inventor of "warp drive" ;-) or a priest
of some alternate religion!

I spent years studying both science and spirituality.. especially
Kundalini Yoga and various esoteric systems.. throw in some Buddhism,
Taoism, some Theosophy here and there (but it made my entire body
hurt in revulsion) and of course Christianity. I deeply studied
Christianity for over 20 years.

So come to find out, that very close to NONE of the 'religious figures'
of the past even existed.... that religion actually had NOTHING to
do with 'spirituality' and that 'spirituality' was also a power and control
system, and some sort of feeding system on human cattle.

I never wanted things to be so cold.. and hostile.. I have always been
a *hugger* and someone who wanted to have everyone just get along..
and be friends.. and to take care of nature..

*sigh*

So when I come across as harsh, it's sad -- it's really *caring*.. but I
don't like how we are food for the 1% and the things which go
bump in the night...

I would like to focus on the tiny smidgen of real, positive (what others
would call) 'spirituality' and growing up as a human species to throw off
this nonsense. But we are so dominated by thousands of years of 'history'
that was written by the victors (the remnant of the Roman empire is just
the latest in a long chain), that our global culture, and our very language
which is the basis of 'rational' thought itself is corrupt through and through
to keep us living like cattle.

But i seldom can focus on the positive.. if I say "principle A", that I've learned
due to years of 'purification', pretty much everyone will hear "principle Z"
which they've learned from the control loop and confuse the two.

Besides, who am I to be sharing 'spiritual knowledge' ? If it's a mistake for others
to do it, then I shouldn't be doing it.. even if perchance my 50 years of effort
have put me in a situation where I should. That's why I talk about the basics of
honesty and rationality so much.. I've never met anyone who has mastered
even those, except perhaps an autistic..

Autistic people aren't 'plugged in properly' to the global mind-conditioning
network of culture, so they have a good chance to be free.. miserable usually
but free... and the fact that autism is (or at least autism reporting) is really
growing.. has made me wonder.. but that's another subject.

So.. I don't WANT to be a cranky old man waving a shotgun at kids on my
lawn.. not even a little.. but living in a feed-lot of cattle on this planet
is depressing.

I personally have been thinking much along the lines of Jacques Vallee for some years (even before I ever knew about his existence), but his thoughts on a control system and "feedback loop" are extremely vague. I beat my head against the wall trying to figure out what he was saying when he used all of this technical jargon until I realized that all he was saying when he said "feedback loop" was: "If we can find the cause, then we can alter the effect." Thank you Captain Obvious!

Consequently, I quit beating my head against the wall trying to figure out what he meant, and started working on taking my own independent thoughts and developing them along with the facts Vallee provided rather than trying to get into his head.

Though if i had to take a stab at it, I would say he is speaking of "associations" and so-called synchronicities being part of this control system in regards to causes and effects.

Here are two examples of control loops:

1) Parade around fake UFOs until people tend
to believe in UFOs...then their belief system
becomes self-reinforcing and infectious.

In other words dupe credible people into
becoming true believers, and these credible
people then unwittingly dupe other people
until the whole thing self-perpetuatingly
saturates the entire culture.

Even the first generstion true believers
become reinforced by the fervor and
further 'evidence' of the second and
later generations.

In some cases even the original frauds
become convinced!

2) All religions that have ever existed work
the same way...which pretty much turns
nothing or almost nothing into supposed
"something".

Now some folks fantasize about flim flamming
the original flim flam perpetrators. ..but easier
said than done.

As far as this thread is concerned, some wonder
if Vallee or other famous people have experimented
with lying to the public expertly in order to get
them to functionally 'create or modify reality'..
so that the original lie becomes 'true',
which of course feeds back endlessly.

Rather like in the movie "Forbidden Planet" or
in the "Cold Fire" trilogy of books.

The world is just a giant refrigerator and Vallee was looking for the thermostat.

It's interesting that Jung's original concept of synchronicity included hunches, premonitions, flashes of insight related to nonlocal phenomena.

I do like popping in here from time to time, and caught up on the last 10 pages or so.

Simply great subjects covered, as always!

Regarding the comment you made a few pages ago Kev, with setting up a domain for thoughts on the control loop, and the very next day having no desire to continue that - I often get this.

Is it self-sabotage or aspects of "the loop" stamping it's foot down?
It usually takes a lot to knock a train off it's (safe & linear) tracks but sometimes all it takes is a leaf, but then you have to deal with the aftermath and that can be a mentally daunting aspect to deal with both emotionally and spiritually.

Maybe this weakness is exploited?

And the point you made with autistic's made me wonder, as the majority of my closest friends have it.
It could be a way of evolution / the unconscious mind / the spirit (add whatever label you need) to break out of something so inherently wrong and suffocating.

As a shift in perception is what is needed to change the world around you...
What better way is there to do this than actually changing the way that you think?

The again it could be the control loop shifting the paradigm!

One thing that keeps me from 'acting' is that
im only 80% confident with my own views...
contrary to what some think, I have no
desire to BS anyone or be an unwitting
trickster. The truth is that I either act at
that 80% level or I don't act....but I won't
ever become more certain than that...and
in fact may be exptessing that % too high.

But of course that means 'honest people'
might never act at all (similar to the general
problem with liberals) and that's not good...
at least promoting the discussion would
be good..

Also quite frankly...being autistic and all..
getting too involved with humans is very
draining.. something that takes a couple
words to communicate to a fellow
well read autistic might require a books
worth of words to a 'neurotypal'
(non autistic) person.

But all it takes for 'good and evil' to win
(those false control loop lies) is for
deprogrammed people to do nothing..

That's hilarious!!

However, as both a southern coastal California girl AND someone who is (forced to be by nature of my interests, not by nature of my nature) part of the so-called fringe/esoteric/new-age world, I can tell you that example is at least 90% "valley girl" and 5% "vegan girl" and only about 5% of it is "new age girl." Heh!

Oh come on, Kev. You mean to tell me you're not one of the ones who spout that enlightenment will come through being united with the one?

Isn't it interesting, the very dichotomy presented and duplicitous inherent in the text of saying that _______(fill in this blank with whatever you're seeking, enlightenment, coffee, whatever) will come with being united with the one, because we are all one?

Geez, I nearly ran out of special text, there, trying to emphasize my point about how many that really adds up to.
Unless, of course, I need some brushing up on maths. I guess everyone gets my point about how all that language denotes there's a lot more to be considered, here, than just one.

That whole 'one thing' is part of the feeding
protocol.

I literally disagree with the standard spirituality
mysticism and religion 100%.

Now, I do have 'answers' I have found for
myself...but as I can't even 'sell' honesty,
there is little point in sharing my data
with anyone.

I shake my head and roll my eyes pretty
much nonstop.

Everyone is 'free' to believe anything they
want so it doesn't matter what my
perspective is....but rest assured it's
nothing like anyone else on ATS.
