Indonesia boosts military presence near Australia and ramps up efforts to increase its firepower

Anyone here old enough to remember Prime minister Paul Keatings idea of an over the horizon radar system back in the early '90's ?

I heard that was supposed to be some long distance secret weapon program to protect Australia from advancing enemies from the north under the guise of a Radar System.....

never heard too much about it afterwards......anyone?

This second phase was carried out by the Radar Division, (later, the High Frequency Radar Division), of the Defence Science and Technology Organisation. Pretty sure it's just a fake news report from an independent news group www.independentaustralia.net talking about a abc 7.30 report story that claims 3 Indo Navy ships were spotted entering AU waters off the coast near Darwin.

Don't take much stock in it, but thought I'd ask around here to make sure it is a fake story.

How can that be wrong?, in fact its quite civil as Im sure some other countries in world; would choose to treat them as invaders and blow them out of the water.

Rumour has it the Collins Class sub seen entering the docks in Darwin has slipped out over night.

Nothing to report from last night, was quiet as a church mouse up on the boarder, did see at least 5 asylum seeker vessels heading our way though.
