Last January 9, I made this prediction:

It can either be the weather, earthquake or volcanism, it could be any natural event but it can be record breaking again.

few days to few months, anywhere, but most likely in SE Asia or Middle East. Stay safe!

Source

Indeed, several days later, Southeast Asia was plagued with storm systems that resulted to:

- Flooding in a very wide area, spanning the countries of Philippines and Indonesia. Over 300,000 people displaced, death toll of around 55 that may continue to rise in the coming days.

- Record - breaking weather extremes - Worst ever flooding during Philippines' mid-dry season (January); worse flooding in Indonesia than previous years

- Worse, these events, ain't over yet. The storm system over Philippines is still inside the disaster zone and very much alive. More rains forecasted for Indonesia.

Sadly, I still have a feeling they wont end there. Let me tell this in support of other guys here who made predictions of disasters for 2014, they maybe right!

The only record breaking event on those sources you cited is the typhoon haiyan which happened November 2013! So i don't know how you call it a prediction that is record breaking.
The floodings were expected and anticipated due to LPA by those countries even weeks before your posted prediction.

Who does that even?

I wouldnt call that a prediction, its awfully speculative. Natural disasters happen all year around and some areas are clearly high alert.

Also these are areas with history and are heavily prone to these occurrences., its not as if this is sudden.

I could predict there will be an alarmingly hot record breaking day in Australia around the end and start of the year.

And I would be correct because that is the summer time here, and every year we see a rise in temperature. We know this due to weather patterns over time.

January is the middle of the dry season in the Philippines.

This is currently the worst flooding they ever had in January and by far.

Still don't believe me?
Here's weather data for the whole Pacific last 2013. Haiyan fell exactly where it should belong. What made Haiyan so special is that it struck heavily populated areas.

I suppose if 1 ft of snow fell on Chicago in July is normal because it did not break the record of the most snowfall that fell on the region? Just sayin'

People who make predictions and then have to 'toot their own horn' claiming to have made a successful prediction ... well, obviously they really didn't and are trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. Sorry. I'm not seeing a 'hit'.

What? I have lived there and it's not by far the worst flooding the Philippines has experienced. Aside from that, the weather pattern on those areas are different.
This from Lonely Planet:

Weather patterns in the Philippines are dictated by the prevailing winds – the habagat (southwest monsoon), which runs from May to October, and the amihan (northeast monsoon), which prevails from November to early May.
For most of the country, the dry season is during the amihan. The wet season starts in June, peaks in July to September, and peters out in October. But patterns have been screwy of late, with the rains arriving later and lingering into December.
In some regions the seasons are flipped. Much of the eastern seaboard – including Eastern Mindanao, Southern Leyte, Eastern Samar and Southeast Luzon – is rainy from December to March and fairly dry when the rest of the country is sopping.

LOL okay then but still those were expected/anticipated even before your post when the LPA formed on those area and eventually became a typhoon but did not make a landfall. Your prediction is so late, i and a lot of people in the Philippines already anticipated there was going to be flooding in those areas due to the heavy rains the LPA carries.

Next time, post 1 week in advance before it hits the weather news.

Your self delusion is inherent in this very statement. If I knew nothing more about you, this would be enough.

So despite you have a thread regarding your so called prediction you decide to make another thread about the same prediction

In your first thread you said it was all about the flags so I presume this thread is the same. You just going for flags on ats and therefore this thread is absolutely pointless

I really wish the mods would keep a close eye on this prediction forum as I believe it's slowly getting filled with absolute garbage and as for this thread being allowed to stay open surprises me. I've been in ats for only 3 years and already I'm seeing standards drop

Seriously, you hit the nail on the head. Predictions in this thread are so sloppy it's terribly sad. Every yahoo and their brother who thinks they are psychic has a nightmare, comes on here and posts some doom porn thread that doesn't pan out or in the OP's case is vague enough that he can shoehorn just about anything in and say that he successfully predicted something.

The first productive reply here!

I'll try my best to accommodate your wishes!

But I think that extra flooding wasn't anticipated. LPAs don't last more than 10 days in virtually one spot. I don't know if that is a record but I sure think that's very very long by meteorological standards...

...And I don't think it's over yet:

Please stay safe over there!

Your not getting insults....what you ARE getting is people here pointing out your being overly vague on whatever prediction you claim to have made. You covered almost every natural disaster in a multiple month period over a 6 million square mile piece of land. You say you are trying to warn people and help, well...there are billions of people in that populace you named and you are posting on ATS for flags and stars as you have so often pointed out and asked why you are not getting more.

So forgive any of us for shooting down your retarded idea of being able to predict anything.

You are all FAIL and it will be pointed out as such on each and every thread you make your ridiculous claims.

I'm not asking billions of people to run out in the streets or go to the forests, that would be retarded.

The most I'm asking is making a survival and first aid kit. How hard can it be? And it's cheap.

Yeah I noticed no flags this time.

Alright, I'll try to accommodate your advice. Don't complain if I say USA or Australia for example or how about USSR and Canada. It's a big place but still one country and a few people only!
