I also was drooling over the release of Star Wars. Special effects like that had never been seen before. It was truly eye candy. Now I look back at
the original and I can almost see the strings as easily as I could an old 1960 Sci-fi.
It will never change how freaking cool it was to have seen it on opening day. I got the only t-shirt I have ever gotten at a movie before on that
day. Teh very next I took a steel wheel homemade skateboard down a very steep hill and tore the back of the shirt (and myself) to shreds.
I came home and mom asked why I was crying, I told her I tore my Star Wars shirt. I will never forget her reaction to my shredded shirt back. She
did not care about the shirt much, as she drug me off to the doctor.
Yes we did live dangerously back then. I will always miss that shirt.
