-Retired Army Major General Paul Vallely: “The White House protects their own. That’s why they stalled on the investigation into fast and furious, Benghazi and Obamacare. He’s intentionally weakening and gutting our military, Pentagon and reducing us as a superpower, and anyone in the ranks who disagrees or speaks out is being purged.”

-Retired Army Major General Patrick Brady: “There is no doubt he (Obama) is intent on emasculating the military and will fire anyone who disagrees with him.”

-Retired Army Lt. General William G. “Jerry” Boykin: “Over the past three years, it is unprecedented for the number of four-star generals to be relieved of duty, and not necessarily relieved for cause.”

-Retired Navy Captain Joseph John: “I believe there are more than 137 officers who have been forced out or given bad evaluation reports so they will never make Flag (officer), because of their failure to comply to certain views.”

According to the Blaze, one anonymous Pentagon official has said that even young officers have been told “not to talk about Obama or the politics of the White House”…

A Pentagon official who asked to remain nameless because they were not authorized to speak on the matter said even “young officers, down through the ranks have been told not to talk about Obama or the politics of the White House. They are purging everyone and if you want to keep your job — just keep your mouth shut.”

endoftheamericandream.com...

Keep in mind these are highly decorated, highly respected military men bashing Obamas military management policies. There are many, many more of them listed in the original article. 10 years ago it would be unheard of for Generals to be so openly critical of their Commander in Chief. This is the list that has been circulating around on the internet and I think you'll agree, its pretty long.

So what say you ATS? What reason/s would Obama have for "purging" the military like this? Is there even a purge going on or are these officers suddenly considered inept leadership?

What does the USMC state about discussion of Politics?

Your C-in-C is your Prez.

I guess it is possible that the answer could lie in a clash between your Constitution and your Military Code and guess who won that pissing contest?

There has always been a thin line between dissent and what in some circles would be viewed as borderline mutiny, I.e. Refusal to carry out orders.

When the said orders cross paths with someone's conscience and beliefs in the armed forces there will only be one winner.

Notwithstanding, principles mean more than power to good people and we should be thankful for that.

Strange times indeed.

Any proof it was Obama that did it?

What do you think should happen to a commander who accidentally discharged a M9 handgun inside his office?
What do you think should happen to someone who mishandled classified materials, then lied to and obstructed the inquiry.?
Who asked to retire as his wife was sick?
Who was relieved of his post in connection with alcohol and sexual misconduct charges?
Who was cited for driving under the influence?
Who was sacked sacked for not properly investigating sailors involved in the humiliating rituals of hazing?
Who hurled insults at subordinates and slapped another sailor several times while they were all drinking at a bar in Bahrain?
Who struck a junior officer during a squadron social event?
Who let his ship strike and sink a channel buoy?

So what should have happened to them (according to you)?

Could it be perhaps that its because this happens to be a conspiracy FORUM?

Just a random guess...

Well, there seems to be some very credible evidence that since last year and through this year that there has been a “litmus test” given to American Military Officers. The Main point of that test, “Would you fire on an American Citizen?” If you say no, then as Donald Trump would say, “Your fired!” Since the beginning of the year these retired officer’s have came forward with ““President Obama is preparing for war against the U.S.”. We even know Dr. Garrow and others confirmed this litmus test. Then we have heard President Obama himself talk about “My Military”.

Obama Escalates Military Purge

On Saturday, Terry M. Hestilow, a retired United States Army Captain from Fort Worth, Texas, posted a letter on Facebook that he wrote to Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, warning that the Department of Homeland Security is preparing to go to war with the citizens of the United States.

"It is with gravest concern that I write to you today concerning the recent appropriation of weapons by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) that can only be understood as a bold threat of war by that agency, and the Obama administration, against the citizens of the United States of America," his letter began.

Retired Army officer warns: DHS preparing for war against American citizens

Either? There are far more than two on the list.

Its easy to find a reason to get rid of somebody. Still, most of the senior leadership appears to be struggling with many of Obamas policies.

Umm, the fact that he is their boss means he is Commander in Chief. Maybe this is a new term to you? It means he has supreme control of the US military.

Mandatory weapons safety training.

Still, whether the others on your list commited offenses worthy of dismissal is nothing but speculative. The fact remains that there is an unprecedented shuffling of military leadership at the very highest levels, surely you don't think they are all for misconduct?

That is definately one plausible reason. And a very scary one at that. Personally I think Obama wants a North Korean style military where there authority is followed unquestioningly.

First off, I don't appreciate you mocking my informal plural nouns!......The reasons they where fired seemed justified IMO. And they weren't all fired either.

Care to show us it is unprecedented? How many were sacked each year for the last 15 years - you must know as you claim this is unprecedented!

IF your dog is sliding his ass across the carpet you may wish to see if his anal glands need expressing.

This is a common symptom in dogs. Its fairly easy to do if you are not "grossed-out" but your local vet can do it in 5 mins for a nominal fee.

Yes, several were forced into retirement. Really though that is a moot point.

I served from 1996-2004. During that time I NEVER heard of high ranking officers being openly critical of their boss. You might think it no big deal, but did you know being openly critical of the mission, the brass, the unit, or the US Army itself is enough to be punished under the UCMJ?

It seems any General that voices any inkling of open critical thought is being lumped in there with anyone else unfit for service.

I'm not saying that he is trying to place officers in charge who would fire on American citizens willingly, (but I cannot discount the possibility since, as another poster pointed out, it is a question asked during board promotions.) However i do think that Obama is placing leadership in command roles that he thinks will follow any order he gives with no pause for better morals or judgment. That is a very dangerous precedent to set.

With the information as presented it's just as likely he's replacing all those that would fire on American citizens with those that won't. There's no evidence either way.
