Well thery are certainly not British Forces, if they were they'd be made to walk and not to travel in vehicles as this would be cheaper and save the tight arsed govt. more money to waste on bogus asylum claims and the like.

Secondly, I'm sorry but France is in the EU and that means the EU and France and the UN should have to answer to this crap. Many of you know that I am already biased to the UN (as my link in my sig. will prove) but this is just backing my assertion that the UN isn't doing what it was set up to do!

I'm sorry, but I fail to see where you're coming from here. Why should the other 24 nations of the EU be held accountable for the actions of one nation's army. The UK, Germany, Spain, Italy ect should not have to answer to anyone for the actions of the French army.

The French are going to have to have an enquiry on this,

My idea of what went wrong is... The crowd was relatively peaceful, most of their behavior was more or less taunting. Before things go to hell the crowd does seem to get pretty close to the armor cars. Something definitely goes very wrong at that point. I hear an initial shot, which I believe was one of French soldier loosing his cool and firing a shotgun. If you listen, youll hear a single blast, than followed by several automatic burst as the rest of the French freak. The unfortunate person whose head had been, I can only describe as basted off might have received this shot. It looks like he had received the shot at point blank from a shot gun considering the degree of the damage. In short the French screwed up, the CO who was in charge of these guys, had very poor leadership and command and control.

Damn I hate seeing people killed

Please note that the link itself is titled 'french soldiers' and that it apparently is taking place in west africa, possibly Ivory Coast. The link is part of an Ivory Coast website, and probably comes from a page that explains it in more detail.

On the edge of the commons were tanks and Stryker like vehicles.

How are they styker like?

The Commons or Plaza was surrounded by tanks and vehicles with Anglo Westernerners in battle fatigues.

Anglo westerners, and on a saturday? Where are you comming up with this?

It was a slaughter of humans. Totally unprovoked. Totally unneccesary use of decimating force. Totally inhumane. What the FCUK? Everyone of those Bsatrads should be hung by the neck till dead.

Uhm, you have no idea what happened before this event, when this event occured, nor who those people were. I am not saying that they had to be anything, but you can't take this video as a complete context of the situation.

I could not tell who they were, but they were Anglo.

Anglos eh? Not french or germans or even welsh or spanish or northern italians or anything like that eh? Specifically anglos?

Obviously the slaughter of innocent people is disgusting and repugant and should be punished, but since when are women and children automaticallly innocent? They can all carry weapons and they can all plant bombs. I have no idea if this is a village of rebels or a village of peaceful civilians, and neither do you. Hell, no one even knows if this video is real or not.

umm dude i respect you but really socialist and comunisnt are not evil.

I think that what he is saying is that since france is already socialists, the socialists/communist agitators in the west aren't going to bother staging massive anti-government protests.

Peace Keeping, your joking right

Irregardless of what happened in this video that is the mission of the french there right now.

I'm sorry but France is in the EU and that means the EU and France and the UN should have to answer to this crap.

Thats rather like saying that nato is currently occupying iraq, or NAFTA conquered the Taliban.

And what in the end are we told we have here? A mob of people that approaches French military positions. The French are not welcomed in the country and used to be the colonial overlords. Now there are there because of widespread violence and armed rampant rebellion. Obviously the crowd is told to dispurse, it doesn't and there are reports that it got violent. Once the French started shooting, that was it, and it was a full on massacre. The French didn't roll into some town square and start blasting people and then runaway, letting their electromagentic future weapons regain power. They were confronted by a mob, and it turned violent.

Ok, why isn't this action being ridiculed by the rest of the world? If this was a US task force, we'd be getting reamed!!! Is it because we aren't a socialist country? (thank god)

firstly the media is mostly US based so it is only care is about US forces.

I really think that may be the case.

lay off the socialist countries they are for freedom not on the same side of the political scale as faciests. just a little note.

uhh no it doesnt. does the US invadeing iraq mean NATO is attacking iraq?
or what about america attacking vietnam was that UN attacking vietnam?
NO
the UN was set up to stop countries going to war! this was perputrated by a memeber of the big five. is this the UN's fault? NO.

Where are all the liberal socialistic protesters at?

right here repulican!

Here is a complete and total explanation of events. It tells who, why, where, and the total justification for the action. It is all now clear to me as I hope it will be to you as well.
I am just tickled at the justification.

Rough translation...

We attempted to surrender to the crowd but they replied, why are you surrendering to an unarmed group of people? So we let them have it.

Stellar and stunning rebuttal. You've convinced me.

What exactly was the problem eh? You didn't know what the heck was going on, except that they were firing into a crowd. Again, you don't know if that was a village that was made up of rebels. Sure the people shown in the video are unarmed. Was everyone in the crowd unarmed? Are you saying its unreasonable for the French of anyone else to fire back when fired upon? That video didn't contain the complete picture, there was absolutely no way to tell what provoked the attack. Prattle on all you want about your certainties, you apparently are merely projecting your own guilt and embarassment, heck you even said as much in one of your posts.

Look, all I was doing was pointing out that none of the people here knew what the heck was going on, and you were just assuming that they jumped out of nowhere and murdered all those people to get their rocks off. As it turns out, they made a stupid, reactionary, and relatively indefensible mistake and a lot of people died over it. I am not saying that these people in fact were terrorists or militant rebels, I merely said that that video doesn't make it clear what they are or what they are there for.

Your absolutely correct, in the beginning it was an inquiry as to what was going on and why our soldier was being held to account for one dead suspected terrorist. And these military men were not accountable. That was and is my inquiry
