"I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites."

A joke? No I don't think so unless we want to say all congressmen are jokes (which we could make a case for I suppose.)

I certainly don't agree with everything in his voting record though.

IMHO...Obama dislikes whites, non-muslims, non-socialists and dislikes freedom. He tolerates them tough to get his way. I truly believe that if he could do anything he wishes, America would look much more like the Middle East. His religion, his color, his law. Just reading about his history and how he came into the presidency, this to me...is obvious. I'm not religious at all...but...if there were an anti-Christ, Obama fits the bill. At least as far as the United States is concerned. Don't believe me? Ask yourself this...would Obama take away the right to vote if he could, and could get away with it?

Radio Raheem West speaks and people actually listen ? he has to keep food on the table so of course you have to promote yourself, get on talks shows , it almost seems like rapper beef, make up things that aren't true, throw shots at the one who is on top, so Obama despises half of himself ? whatever, Allen West is a clown, there are some theories in psychology, I can't remember which one, but I think Allen West abjectly despises himself.

Radio Raheem West needs to do the right thing and keep his unfounded opinions to himself before stirring up the mud.

I find it hard to believe that Obama hates part of his genetic heritage. Perhaps its why many are allowed to inter-mate to eliminate prejudice eventually down the generations as the races mix. There seems to be a lot going on in the WH already, this type added distraction only causes more room for ignorance to permeate within the human conscious.

If he is, he's a great actor among long-time Caucasian friends. (I know a handful of folks who have been friends with the Obamas for years) - granted, they're not representative of everyone, but what has Obama ever done which would cause people to think, or fear this? This is a big fat load of horse manure if I ever smelled one.

I think he hit the nail right on the head! I have a ton of respect for Allen West, and on this issue, he isn't saying anything I haven't said for years now. Shame he wasn't on the ticket last election!

West is an honest guy, and he's only saying something that is obvious to anyone paying attention. As for "you people", that's simply referring to ANY group that one addresses, and isn't "racist" at all. It's simply a reference to a group to which he doesn't belong himself. Wow, are people really that overly sensitive?

Here's one of the best examples I've ever seen of someone display how, at times, the use of an offensive phrase is the fastest, most efficient way to get your point across. If you must, skip to about the 6:00 minute mark, but the entire clip is a gem.

Well I wasn't going by his prior military service or his election results. Mainly just what he said on his website and the argument he made supporting it. Frankly he could have added much more damning accusations to support his stance, like say Holders support of the Black Panthers voting suppression efforts for one.
