The day before, on the 13nth of January, the Department of Homeland Security had just completed an Active Shooter Threat Training Program (ASTTP) for police at their facility in Artesia, New Mexico, about 40 miles south of Roswell.

Also, Berrendo Middle School was closed on Monday, 1-13-14, the day before the shooting, allegedly due to some plumbing problem.

One time, a student kicked a ball to the ceiling, hit a waterline and flooded the whole place.
(this happened in the gym, the site of the shooting)

Did this incident have anything to do with the shooting? Did the police undergoing Active Shooter Threat Training decide to continue their training at Berrendo to take advantage of the school being closed? Was the DHS at Berrendo on the day of the shooting? That's what I want to know.
