if that were to happen, why stop there..why not police those rebeliuos, conspiracy insiting bords?? aren't they bad for the population?, going around post all those lies about the govt corporations and dragging the good govts name in the mud?? don't alot of 'bloggers' and 'boards' make verbal threats or at least vieled threats about rebellion and civil war to the govt and other officials in general?? isn't that a form of terrorism?? shouldn't that kind of sidisious material be policed..at least a LITTLE bit????

this must be why the gov is increasing reasearch into nanosatellites. to aid in the confistication of materials related to these internet "drugs" like cameras, sets, and harddrives.

Now the Americans have their excuse to put those tags in magazines and videos- they will then use these as another excuse in enact some kind of Patriot Act reason to break into people houses.

i have a brother in law who is clinically addicted to porn.
he has 5!!!! 5 harddrives FULL!! he doesn't even go back to look at what he has downloaded! he spends ALL freetime downloading every kind of porn available to him. it IS an addiction. should it be regulated? NO! america is at fault because of our puritain values.......nudity and sex is BAD. in other countries porn and sex addiction are almost non-existant. this country tells it's people that sex is dirty,nudity is all sexual. our kids see sex as naughty. no wonder porn addiction is an actual psych disorderover here!!!

i dont suffer from porn adiction at all, i enjoy it !

I'd say your Idea of addiction is akin to people who put away more money than they can spend in their lifetime, or collect giant balls of yarn, or other wierd collections of material wealth. It is because, no matter how much they have they feel they don't have enough.

Not all professionals share my view, but I believe that maintaining separate diagnostic categories for these problems helps to prevent confusion among the public and the politicization of these disorders. Obsessive-Compulsive disorders are generally considered to be less pernicious than addictive disorders and plastering a compulsion with the label of addiction does nothing help the problem. It only makes the sufferer seem more culpable.

Some 'studies' show certain personalities do not mix well with certain types of porn and others don't.

Some studies show pornography to be a benefit, I wonder if congress has heard (any!)representations over that side of the story, hmmm?

I agree. The only people that want to see extremely perverted and/or illegal porn look for it because they want to see it. No matter how many times I see some of that sick twisted crap, it's never going to make me want to see it, much less do it. Those who look for it wanted to see it before they started looking for it. People minds aren't turned sick by sick porn. They're already sick, and that's why they seek it.

Personally with the speed of approaching technological advance, I wonder how virtual sexual encounters will affect this debate in the years to cum.
