This thing about the girl is not about sex it's about addiction and suicide and serious mental disorder.

Women masterbate , also.

If that girl survives she'll be 40 lbs over weight w/ a fat butt in 20 years.

I think it should be illegal to be horny, then! Being horny is evil!
I can't wait to see the legislation on this. How much dumber can America get?
Maybe they should also regulate how big boobs can be, because big boobs make me horny.
They should also make it illegal for women to have nice asses too, I guess. Those have the same effect. Maybe all people should just be made unattractive. Then we'd have no more of these sexual problems!

I don't have to supply mine for scrutiny... I have seen/experienced it first had....justify all you like....and you should do a bit more digging...it's all tied together...support the "innocent" porn if you like and believe what you like....it won't change the truth of the matter!

truth hunter: Lets work through your posting

1) I would never think that you were the sexiest, SEXIST definitely
2) If men had as stringent criteria applied to them as women do they would be on the therapist couch daily sobbing their little eyes out.
3) there is nothing as sad as some hideous dork standing in a bar with his beer rating the chicks. AS IF she even cares what he thinks.
4) Porn gives men a completely altered persception of how women should act sexually, and if they don't act like or want to do the pervie things seen in the porn movies/sites/dvds then they obviously have a problem; and
5) Nobody should be forced to question their humanvalue purely on aesthetics.

So in conclusion porn is sexist in nature, and so is the concept of sexy.

Bah. The concept of sexy is individual, and in your own mind. Sure it can be influenced, but only by what you let influence it. And in no way would I expect a real girlfriend or wife to act how they do in porn. That is rediculous. Some women are very inhibited. Others are not. You are trying to stereotype sex much in the same way people stereotype races. It is wrong. All depends on who you talk to, really, and what kind of mind they have. I'll control my own mind. Thank you.

That's you, Your obviously mature and understand the difference between fantasy and RL...Many young people are getting a very warped view of what sexuality is about.....they don't know about the men in Porn eating handful of viagra to stay in an excited state longer than nature intends...or much of the other horrors of it...unfortunately, with porn accessible so easily on the internet...it's a problem

It doesn't do that for me. Frankly, I find alot of hardcore porn rather disgusting. I'd never expect, nor even want some of the weird # I've seen in porn. I won't go into specifics, but I'm sure you can imagine some of the less desirable (and downright sickening) things I'm speaking of.
I don't understand how some people find some of that crap erotic. I'll just stick to my tying women up and hanging them from the ceiling fan, thank you.

LadyV, with all due respect. Do kids watch porn 24/7? No. Do we as adults? No. Sexuality is developed as a function of total experience, both in RL and in fantasy land. To take away what is available to all on the basis that it is influencing them would be like taking away our computers for the exact same reason. Or taking away the TV's. Or for that matter, taking away everything one has and throwing one into a cave to live. It is all influence. But it is up to the individual, through experience, to decipher these things and come up with workable methods that suit that individual. Sex is a part of life. How it is interpreted and acted upon, whether in RL or in fantasy land, is completely up to them. I propose to leave it that way, and let people choose what they want to see and how they want to act. Either that or they can go live in a place like Muslim Mania. With no choice.

Frankly, I have arrived at the postion that I have absolutely no expectations for a woman's performance in bed, except that she has as many orgasms as she can endure. Then we can snuggle.

Excellent post Grady

I would have responded to this sooner but I can only type with one hand, no its arthritis you dirty minded people

Porn is just like everything else if that (or anything) is what you live for than you have a problem, but I have done a LOT of research on this subject and honestly fail to see how a naked picture or even a movie will hurt anyone. To be influenced by it you would have to have problems anyway, just like those that watch a action movie and then try to jump your car over a river or something.

Women know men have a need for fiction.

That's what make-up is all about isn't it?

It doesn't stop there, push-up bras, not eating when we take them out, not putting demands on relationships till after they have us hooked.

So what exactly qualifies something as pornographic?
Is Playboy, which does feature naked women but does not show any type of sexual acts or penetrations, pornography?
What about pictures of naked people which are not intended to be erotic? How many people must find something arousing in order for it to be labeled pornographic?
Why are nudity and sex in "R" rated movies allowed but if actual penetration is shown it instantly becomes porn?
Should books be banned or censored now as well? I read the "Story of O" a year or so ago and it was EXTREMELY erotic, but since the only pictures that I saw were the ones it spawned in my mind, was it really porn?

Porn has been around as long as men have had eyes to see with and a medium through which to express their fantasies. Women are more turned on by erotic thoughts and feelings (which is why 'Story of O' was such an intense read for me), but men are usually stimulated the strongest, visually (i.e., images of a naked woman or of people having sex).
What makes it ok for a woman to get off on "Harlequinn Romances", but wrong for a guy to get off on sexual images depicting the same type of things she is reading about?

One more thing, WHY IN THE HELL SHOULD THE GOVERNMENT BE INVOLVED IN THIS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER OR NOT PORN IS ADDICTIVE? Do they not regulate us for everything else we do already? Why don't we just give up all of our rights and freedoms right now, and get it over with? Who needs them anyways, since the govenment knows what's best for us better than we do!

It's all irrelevant anyways, since this whole "porn is worse than heroin" thing is just a means to an end. They don't care about the kids who might see porn on the internet. The government just wants to be given the power to regulate and censor the internet, and this type of morally charged propaganda is how they plan to get exactly that.

Masturbation is more addictive than heroin!!! Please!!!

Surely you can offer me at least one example to back up your argument. I'm not saying that you are completely wrong, but if I were to make a statement as general as the one you have made I would feel inclined to show some evidence backing up my statement, it's the nature of this site aswell you know.

For reference purposes only: I have never purchased any porn, either from the internet, the top shelf of a newsagent or video store. So fail to see where I am supporting the porn industry, unless you mean that playing advocate for all those people (or should I say men) you accuse of supporting child pornography and abuse because they have downloaded porn.

Without a doubt child abuse in this industry goes on as it did before the internet became the main source, and as mentioned numerous times on this thread, it is a deviant mind that seeks this material, and as long as the deviant mind exists there will be a greater deviant supplying these images of abuse.

Child abuse affects a great many people, far more than I believe the stats show. I have seen and live with the consequences of child abuse, but still refuse to be blinded by the villagers torches as they engage in a book burning ceremony.

IMO, make-up is not something I like to see on any woman but thats up to the individual wearing the stuff. There are numerous reasons for wearing make-up but believe that the majority of those who wear it are suffering from low self esteem and have issues regarding insecurity and acceptability, and this is not restricted just to women.

Do you sit patiently waitng for your snuggle or does she wake you when she's finished?

To be honest ........none

But when I was younger I, like most young men, liked it. It never became a problem and it never came close to replacing a real woman. I guess I just dont see what the big deal is

So your "research" actually consists of having looked at porn and drawn a personal conclusion. Hardly sounds scientific to me.

Why are opinions considered extensive research?

From the title, I though Congress was being warned for being addicted to porn...

I think it was Charlton Heston who said, "They can have my porn when they pry it from my sweaty sticky hands..."

Oh wait, that was something else wasn't it?

Just because someone occasionally looks at porn hardly makes them a perv, or "addicted"...geez. Sure, some do get addicted I imagine, but we don't see them stepping in on alchohol or tobacco companies too much either do we? Too much money in it for this to go anywhere...so no worries....
