Hmm, you're sure you weren't watching some B-rated porno version? Your descriptive sounds led me to that conclusion. I saw the film and quite enjoyed it. Simple story, nice cinematograpgy, believable performances. And, from memory, not that much orgasmic sound emissions.

seriously, I have seen it, and thought it was pathetic, if anything the amount of hype it is receiving is an attempt at reigniting Bullock's career, you could have made the same movie with the monkeys Russia and America launched into space..Oh wait a minute that will be the sequel

I wonder how do they write that in the script.
Btw, we can submit this script to porn companies, just add the 4 letter word before "yes".

Absolutely, correct description of the movie. In short, a big disappointment as a film. I don't care who starred in it.

I wasn't very hyped to see it, accident in space, didn't realize it would be that much action in it frankly. I seen it, it was pretty good. I wouldn't say it was amazing, but not bad. nice visuals...it was worth a watch.

You know what would be great, is if people were required to post what they deemed to be a good movie (made within the last say, 2 years) when giving a bad review. Why? because anyone can criticize, but without understanding what that person deems good modern movies, its hard to know if the movie itself may be bad, or just bad taste

"That movie sucked, terrible acting..btw, I find the best movie of 2013 was jackass...cause it made me laugh"
Then you know that the person has a certain mentality that may not appreciate the more subtle nature of a thinking movie. More of a say, "Ow my balls" type target audience and so their opinion may not reflect your potential enjoyment...visa versa...someone may find Monster University lacking, whereas they are more of a Les Miserables type audience.

btw, no cop-outs. no saying "hasn't been a good movie produced for X years". That's untrue, many good and bad films for all genres come out all the time, from big blockbuster Hollywood smash hits, to little foreign indie flicks and everything inbetween...that line is simply an excuse not to weigh in for fear of judgement by others.

I thought it was a fantastic movie.
The action and action visuals were breathtaking and heart stopping.
The story was well paced.
There was indeed some wonderful dialogue.
The overall situation and situations the characters faced was played out, framed, and directed believably and quite well.
At no time was I left with the impression that I could have done better or different if put into the character's position.

I still want to know about the little hairy guy wearing the hawaiian shirt.

I had to take the 3D glasses off. It was too much movement and was making my brain hurt.
(I had a concussion 4 years ago ... I should have known better than to go to that movie).

The first half of the movie was excellent, then as soon as bullock was in the capsule on her own it went downhill thereafter for me. Brilliant effects, the collisions with the space station and the debris was amazing.
Great first half, not so great second half..
