The Obama administration has tapped the world's largest consulting firm to take over its beleaguered Obamacare website.

Accenture, a consulting and technology services company with 281,000 employees and $28.6 billion in revenue, won the one-year contract to continue fixing HealthCare.gov, the online health insurance marketplace set up by the Affordable Care Act. The Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services made the announcement Saturday.

On January 1, 2001 Andersen Consulting adopted its current name, "Accenture".

In October 2002, the Congressional General Accounting Office (GAO) identified Accenture as one of four publicly traded federal contractors that were incorporated in a tax haven country. The other three, unlike Accenture, were incorporated in the United States before they re-incorporated in a tax haven country, thereby lowering their U.S. taxes.

Critics, most notably former CNN journalist Lou Dobbs, have reported Accenture's decision to incorporate in Bermuda as a U.S. tax avoidance ploy, because they viewed Accenture as having been a U.S.-based company. The GAO itself did not characterize Accenture as having been a U.S.-based company; it stated that "prior to incorporating in Bermuda, Accenture was operating as a series of related partnerships and corporations under the control of its partners through the mechanism of contracts with a Swiss coordinating entity."

Accenture announced on May 26, 2009 that its Board of Directors unanimously approved changing the company’s place of incorporation to Ireland from Bermuda

A company where I worked outsourced the IT of 200 to 300 to this company. Lots of the positions where shifted to India and the Philippines.

I suppose this is the way the new American works.

This just really bothers me! Still outsourcing this to another country on the tax payers money, to those who don't want to pay taxes themselves in America. Wish we could do the same.

Which, by the way, was done the first time also, which didn't work, at how many millions/billions to tax payers!?!

Shakes head in disgust.

So typical.

Hire more criminals.

Accenture is guilty of fraud.

GCI, the “international” firm hired to build the ObamaCare online machine has been fired, walking away with millions, probably billions, of American taxpayer dollars. In comes Accenture, hired by Obama to fix his mess. Accenture has agreed to pay $63.7 million for defrauding the U.S. government.

“Accenture has agreed to resolve allegations that it received kickbacks for its recommendations of hardware and software to the government,” the US Department of Justice said in a statement. The firm also “fraudulently inflated prices and rigged bids in connection with federal information technology contracts,” the statement said.

CGI, by the way, owns PRISM. PRISM is the platform the National Security Agency (NSA) uses to gather our data. Do you think, maybe, CGI had to be paid-off to walk away? Think about what they know about the NSA.

Oh jeesh. First we have to pay a fortune for this pathetic joke to begin with.

Then we have to pay a ton more to "fix it". What a scam!
