" when I was five years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they ask ask me what I wanted to be when I grow up. I wrote down "happy". They told me I didn't understand the assignment, and I told them they didn't understand life."

OR

" She doesn't say 'I love you' like a normal person, instead, she'll laugh, shake her head, give you a little smile and say 'you're an idiot'...........if she tells you you're an idiot, you're a lucky man"

AND, one of my favourites...

"Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder"

S&F good fun thread.

To keep a long story short:

Quotation is a serviceable substitute for wit.
Oscar Wilde

But as long as you're not addicted to any substitute, it's ok to use it.

This is my signature but I had to paraphrase due to limitations. Here it is in its fullest form. The reason I chose this Signature is because I think that the good people that frequent this site and use the information they acquire from ATS to speak to people in there real life started a "Game" ,if you will. Its up to all of us to "finish the game"

As a child. My mother moved her and I in the late afternoon to southern California. My father worried sick couldn't find me for a month. The court ruling eventually was. Mom has custody but dad gets me in the summer for 6 weeks. At age 7, till 15 I flew from L.A. to Pittsburgh every summer.
At age 25 and well off on my own. I ask him since the 2 eventually had a good friendship as years past.

Me: " dad, how is it you and mom have a good relationship now..after what she did? "
Dad: "Well... time and 3000 miles of space...forgiveness is done over time.."

My dad is a kind and forgiving man..
So that quote goes out to my father.

A reminder to those with power in government -

So Willy, let me and you be wipers
Of scores out with all men - especially pipers:
And, whether they pipe us free from rats or from mice,
If we've promised them aught, let us keep our promise.

OK I'll try a sheldonism on this too.

" Oh no. A Godzilla like monster is approaching the city! I have to get my people to safety." "People of Sheldonopolis, this is your mayor. Follow me. If the children can't run, leave them behind!" " Oh the simulated horror!"
