www.tfrnewshub.com...

See in the link, how the sinkhole swallows up one after another after another of everything about and next to it, growng by the second.

Where did the houses go, and why hasn't there been any mainstream coverage? It's reportedly in the slums of Rio, by the way an reportedly yesterday (Jan 7 2013).

Mainstream will not cover it. It just isn't earth shattering news(pun). It happens pretty often but the video was cool I watched it a few times.

These are often caused by mining.

Here's an outrageous video from Louisiana.

Stand by, soon have some expert jump on the wagon to say, "What's the worry, this has been happening since time began, its natural". No matter what happens - and thank you for opening my eyes to such a fear, but we always get the ' No Need To Worry ' advisors, do we not.

Can you import the video in your link here? Some of us are selective in what we click on, I don't know what lurks out there. Sinkholes, I assume. Thanks for the thread, and this must be a horrifying thing to have happen to neighbors and a neighborhood.

It wasn't a sinkhole, it was a swollen river next to the houses.
You can see a woman throw her baby out the window to people below.

Homes were destroyed after the full Maratatuíra River in Abaetetuba.
Woman throws child out the window to save it from collapse.Images from a security camera shows the moment when homes are swallowed by a crater that formed in the street Siqueira Mendes, in the St. John neighborhood in Abaetuba, northeastern Pará.

Here is the news source and another video showing some aftermaths
