I would love a poem contest...but then I just have this feeling if there was a contest, my mnd would block up and not write anything!!

Anyway it would be interesting to to see a poet status... And you're right..there's not that many poets on here anymore...or so it seems to me.

I for one wouldn't be surprised to find many 'icognito' poet's hidden within the ATS membership.

I also 'suppose' you yourself have many poems already written hidden in your arsenal that
would be worthy of submission towards such a contest

I think it has a really interesting meta viewpoint. It masquerades as a simple challenge, perhaps a contest, if you will, but if you read the subtext, it covers all the themes required.

By the rules of the contest, the contest thread has clearly won. There's no rule that says the initial contest prompt can't win the contest. And so far, it's got fifty two points in this here race. So, unless someone pulls off a last minute victory, I ask you, good sir, what shall the next prompt be?
