2014 new Smilies - what's your favorite one?

These new ones are pretty good. I like them better than the old ones. Good stuff. It will take me a while to figure out what they all mean. Like ? What is the difference between and and ? I wear glasses so I guess I need to roll with the last one?

I'm still waiting for an adequate eye-roll emoticon. I used that one a LOT. I can't see one that really gets that same message across.

Just wondering the 'why' with the emoticon changes.

Is it the site aiming to reduce server costs with the tiniest file size smilies known to man?

Is it due to copyright reason that you need your own set? If that's the case would the mods be willing to let some of the talented artists on ATS create a specific set of emoticons for ATS?

Is it all about the colour theme continuity? If it is, maybe find a way to change the green colour for those of us who hate green?

No offence to whoever created these of course, I doubt I could do better myself but they are so flat and lifeless and as a fellow human I find no emotional connection too them. I know that sounds silly, but if a commentor is saying something in jest and pops in a winky smily it just seems that its missing .... soul? Yeah, its a cartoon representation, but the plain drearyness of these emotes dont help me connect with the commentors emotional state.

Hope you guys understand that I'm just not trying to be a negative nancy but rather offer helpful criticism!

I mean is this supposed to be a sad almost in tears wrinkled mouth face? Its called "duh" which looks nothing like I imagine it... the mouth looks like a fuzzy stash! Again, this demonstates the ambiguity of this icon set.

Still don't like 'em and will continue to keep a eye out for the old school ones. Some things just should not change.

But now at least I have some new targets to shoot at.

In my opinion they are all crap, even worse than the last effort.

If the smilies are going to look so cheezy; perhaps we could do away with them altogether and use English phrases to express ourselves.

Instead of F'in (fluffing) around with those silly e'cons how about do something useful like go into the template settings and set this thing right ..............

I don't think I have a favorite (yet) but I just want to give a big THANK YOU! to whomever is responsible for the change! The old smilies drove my CPU use through the roof and forced me to turn off images every time I posted on this forum. No problems with these new ones so far!
