The FBI has made a public move showing that it is truly more global since 9/11 than is advertised. The FBI was created to investigate crimes internally in the US for mainly white collar, high profile or financial crimes.

What's not in question is that government agencies tend to benefit in numerous ways when considered critical to national security as opposed to law enforcement. "If you tie yourself to national security, you get funding and you get exemptions on disclosure cases," said McClanahan. To me, it shows that they are NOT going after the bankers and the ones who are putting the country in much peril and instead preparing themselves ultimately as the anti-terror force of not only the US but globally.

QUestion is, who will step in and take over for what the FBI has done in the past? The IRS/DHS? A new division of the government. Time will tell...

Oh...They'll continue to investigate Bank Robberies.

But not the Banks themselves.

But I will give kudos to the FBI for bringing down some of the most corrupt politicians here in Cuyahoga County. Everybody knew they were bad eggs, but it still took a seven year investigation to bring them down.

Private Companies like Blackwater, KBR, Dyncorp, CASI, L-3, etc. Private prisons are already a profit making enterprise why not privatize law enforcement as well.

So they wan't more money huh? Not enough gee-whiz gear fellas? Yeah, I know. Terrorism; now that is where the money is and you don't really have to stop any of it either. Just claim the threat is rampant and you battle it everyday. So more money and less oversight please. JEH would be proud.

It's not like the current, vile, pathetic, inept, corrupt, monumentily stupid administration is MORE corrupt then every single one befor it, it's just the current "flavor". The president isn't a bad guy, he's just stupid. He proves it every day! But as far as the FBI goes, who cares if they don't do "law enforcement", as eluded to earlier in this post, nobody in the government apparently understands how a law works anyway! This cannot be debated!

C'mon.

The FBI has a national security role since the 1940s. The only thing that has changed in instead of communist now its terrorists. So in other words nothing has changed.

I have a very hard time believing that corporations will replace the state as the governing body.

I already believe however that the corporations govern the governing body around the world.

That being said, I do not believe most current local and state LEA will turn on their citizens. Instead they will be privatized and replaced by thugs picked out by the corporations.

In the end the law that the officers swore to uphold will replaced and they will either agree to the new one or become obsolete.
