Is it excitement that you desire?
Does arguing make the blood coarse around the body making you feel alive?

I don't desire anything. I was just making fun of your spooky language.

You sound more and more like a fire and brimstone preacher.

You desire making fun.
But have no interest in finding out what is real.

It isn't a desire, it just appears.

You should be cool with that.

In what does it appear?

I'm sure you think you know and I can't change that.

I think that that was what this thread was trying to sort out.

No amount of thinking will change that which the thinking appears in. Thoughts come and go in presence which never goes anywhere.

Preach on preacher man.

All the other preachers are singing a similar tune but in a different key.

Me, I'm tuning out, or so it appears.

I'm not arguing. Per this thread, we can't even agree on what to argue about.

I know what I am talking about but you have stated that you don't even know what an idea is.
Are you an idea?

Actually, I meant that asking people what they think an idea is would be similar to the OP asking them what god is. That seemed to fly over your head.

Maybe it flew over your head that God is not an idea - God is 'that' in which all ideas appear and are conceived.
Ideas are finite things - God is not finite - God is absolute.

I am that.

Every person has his own reality in which things are what they are. Some things are more subtle than others, to a another person some things are not at all like to the next person. We identify ourself with this reality and think that this is how things are. At this level there will endless play and conflict of consepts. But reality can change, often only in a situation where we are absolutely forced to change our views through conditions around us. Then comes the wisdom that things are not as they seem often or not so simple.

To drop ones own reality completely is to see what really is. To do this is a great sacrifice, to drop all guards, to be completely open and vulnerable, to drop things that identify the person.

This is just another concept that some believe leads to the truth and others don't.

What would happen if someone "dropped ones reality completely" and then later on realized that the peace achieved by being in the moment isn't "the truth" either?

All beliefs happen in the realm of realitys. It is just a consept and a matter of belief when inspected through a reality. Judgements are made and mind decides to believe or not even when the information is pointed to it. This is not a matter believing or not its a matter of turning inwards and doing it.

I'm sure that is what you believe.

I'm also sure that there is probably nothing that anyone can say to change that.

You didn't answer my question.

So, in regards to the OP, what does god mean to you?
