I find it ridiculous that you think there is any connection between the aims of the political parties and the desires of the population, it is further ridiculous that you happily apply the false dichotomy of liberal and conservative.

The political parties are just an illusion, they all have the same agenda - which is to protect the financial elite, for whom they work. The mass media, mainstream economists, health specialists, scientists - they all work for the same people - the owners of the western anglo-american empire - the financial elite.

You are talking about nothing - the views of the people have virtually zero impact on what the political class do - though the political class will always try and disguise what they are doing within schemes that look like they are left or right leaning - but its simply a smokescreen.

Every single policy is intended to improve the power and security of the financial elite, and the intellectual, corporate, political, scientific classes have been co-opted and paid off.

Forget silly left and right ideas - they are just illusion. The restrictions on speech are designed to control the debate within certain parameters, in exactly the same way that the labels liberal and conservative do.

There is a political division, it is between collectivism/centralization, and individualism/decentralization.

Collectivism/centralization is supported and forced forward by the financial oligarchs - and should be resisted at all points.

Stop playing inside the intellectual box they created for you, and open your mind.

I agree with everything you said minus your statement about science. That is quite ethnocentric. The vast majority of scientists dwell outside the US. They have no affiliation to our political parties nor corporate leaders. Science in on the few pure things we have left as it is an amalgamation of many different political view points, religious beliefs, and cultural backgrounds.

For that matter, most of the world accepts science. It is here in the US where we have the most deniers of it. There is no liberal or GOP science. Science is far larger than the US.

Ummm...I really don't think it has anything to do with your assertion that..."those not claiming to be liberal"...believe that..."liberals are the only ones to get offended". I think that it's more a commentary on the USE of "being offended" as one of the cornerstone tools of the movement.

On a personal note...it's really quite laughable...very humorous in fact...that liberalism justifies as part of it's premise the use of such a...crutch...in an attempt to deflect or obfuscate in order to prop up the unsupportable......What's even funnier is the sheer numbers of the herd that wallow in such juvenility...while attempting to claim the high ground. You look like children trying to play "king of the mountain".......on a ball......floating in the water.

If the truth of liberalism were enlightenment.......then it would discard divisiveness...rather than husband it.

Free speech helps EVERYONE even if they don't realize it.
Free speech helps keep people honest and it helps truth to prevail.
That's something that both liberals and conservatives claim to want.

Liberals claim to want free speech ... but of course they are the ones who get upset when that 'free
speech' doesn't go in the direction they want.

(religious) Conservatives claim to want free speech ... unless that free speech happens to expose flaws in the reasoning and/or accuracy of their religious beliefs.

But to answer the question .. free speech helps everyone and it should be defended.
And if that free speech exposes something that the listener doesn't like because it goes
against their liberal or conservative ideals .. then they should sit back and listen and LEARN ...

Ummm...I'm fairly certain that you posed this as a rhetorical question....If I break it down into "the us"...that would mean..."the great unwashed"...Those..."yearning to breathe free"

The "them" would be the parasitic.....the leeches that suck the life out of..."those yearning to breathe free"....the...statute and law and executive order...justifier's/pencil pushers.

Frankly...it helps the host...not a whit to be so infested by the parasitic...
It also reveals the hubris of the parasite in thinking that such an infection can be anything but......short term.

In the end the host either succumbs to the infestation.....or scratches them all loose rending the parasite between tooth and nail.

Liberals don't believe in free speech. Medical advice is speech. Investing advice is speech. Most liberals don't believe people should be allowed to give medical advice or investing advice without government permission. Personally I'd rather not be allowed to say "bad words" than not be allowed to give out advice. Therefore I'd prefer liberals would start allowing free speech.
