Even though I really believe we are not the target, for we would get our juvenile asses kicked early in the game, too much imbalance in standard tech....no contest...

I know of weapons tech but if there are INTERSTELLAR beings able to traverse the UNIVERSE making wars on the likes of humanity you can be sure their tech far ADVANCES that of humanity.

No, gun ownership was restricted in two periods, both mass shootings,
first in the 1980s after Hungerford
en.wikipedia.org...

The Firearms (Amendment) Act 1988[2] was passed in the wake of the massacre, which banned the ownership of semi-automatic centre-fire rifles and restricted the use of shotguns with a capacity of more than three cartridges (in magazine plus the breech). Ryan's collection of weapons had been legally licensed, according to the Hungerford Report.

then in the 1990s after Dunblane
en.wikipedia.org...

Public debate subsequent to these events centred on gun control laws, including public petitions calling for a ban on private ownership of handguns and an official enquiry, the Cullen Report. In response to this debate, the Firearms (Amendment) Act 1997 and the Firearms (Amendment) (No. 2) Act 1997

Not all wars in the history of the planet hell no. Just a lot of them. It must have occured to someone that with more and more centralisation there is less and les need for wars: why fight against yourself: and even less point. Most wars could be stopped easily as they are effectively people fighting themselves. Like the large banks many come back to the same families. So modern war if their to stop humanity becoming weaker.

SO IT THE REASON THAT THE UK AND USA ETC ARE AT WAR IS SO WE ARE READY IF AN INTERSTELLAR WAR BREAKS OUT?

If so how is it a positive to reduce the number of soldiers one army will have?

If humanity were to prepare for an interstellar war as you suggest then why not unite the numbers instead of reducing them by killing of many by waring against each other?

If you look at the lin below you will find that the defence minister of Canada is worried about the possibility of an interstellar war.

Former Defense minister, and he is worried about the possibility.

Hence the word "possibility"

He might also be worried about the possibility anything ones mind can conceive.

So does anyone think that the wars we have and will have are mostly to prepare us?

NO

Wars are organized for a culling of man.

So the defence minister of Canada is lieing and aliens don't exist?

Did he say they do exist?

Is he the defense minister of Canada?

Or that he is saying they pose a threat when they don't?

NO,

he is giving his opinion on a possibility.

WHY WOULD HE DO THIS?

No need to yell,

What is he doing for you to shout?

The opinion is that if any "interstellar-visitors"... have the ability to get here over the vast distances of space...when we couldn't get to them....then we've already lost any war with them.

Us having wars with the nuke weapons and sticks against each other....seriously. The wars teach us nothing against a superior intergalactic traveling species.

None. No matter how you cut it...we'd lose. It wouldn't be like some video game...
