you may say "well you are just substituting religion for aliens" and I would argue the difference is the aliens are real.

So is God and Jesus....you show me your proof and I'll show you mine...

Please do show us your proof.

I believe there was never found any evidence for Jesus, except stories from Bible. Now, even location does not match description in Bible. Keep in mind, those stories are written many years from 'supposed' events.

When anyone says " There is no God. " or " God does not exist. " And actually
believes what they are saying, as if they know it to be true. They have not only
demonstrated a total disregard for how much they do not know. But have also failed
miserably to understand that the amount of what they don't know could be infinite.
So atheism is fine. Until the atheist opens his mouth or begins to write.

i wish i knew everything like they do.

i'm just a stupid christian, i guess.

Just like you know god exists?

yeah, it's kind of personal thing, tho.

my God is not a nanny or commie, He does not use a broad brush. all are individual, no collective.

up to you and Him to figure it out. i won't get any points trying to or even converting you.

you are a big boy/girl, you know how it works.

no idea if i will make the cut to heaven, no one does.

Is it not hypocritical to put down an individual for professing to 'know' that a god doesn't exist, and then proclaiming knowledge that it does?

Where is Jesus now? and God doesn't seem to care very much about humans so that's why my hopes are on the aliens. It's more realistic in my view to expect help from aliens than your crew.

Seriously, are people not bored by these ''athiest vs religion'' type threads? No one changes their point of view and everything's been said a thousand times before, it's just the same thread over and over with the same content. It's just pointless now.

This right here. At the bare minimum I would like to see some meaningful dialog between both sides. It happens in more intellectual circles, but apparently not here.

If you can't get past your own confirmation bias, STFU.

I think we are at this point. Would you like to talk about the origins of the universe now?

It absolutely is.

Or at the very least, how we approach the topic is.

Start a new thread or contribute to an existing one on the topic of the origin of the universe. That's not the topic here. The topic here is the atheist regard for theistic approach to the subject of cosmological causality.

I don't need to start a new thread as the origins of the universe are woven in with what we are discussing here. The OP is discussing a respect for other opinions. You apparently lack that respect.

my "bait"? You have been anti-Christian from day one. Let us not pretend like the record shows otherwise. You are an antagonist.

You have been, you are, and you will be.

I'm more '' theism reductionist '' than anything else. It's not against christians specifically. But you're still trying to antagonize me. You probably see me as an easy target by which to justify the atheist smarting in this thread.
edit on 7-1-2014 by AfterInfinity because: (no reason given)

You seem to hate the truth.
