Hope you are a good cook. My first year consisted of cooking for every meeting even though there was a schedule printed up for different members to do the cooking.

I quit and now the lodge caters. Go figure.

cooking?

Isn't that the Eastern Stars' job? lol

The hall in Mission Valley had catering and hundreds of members. the food was of the quality of a wedding party, very good, wholesome stuff. And it was warmed properly where everyone gets a 'hot' plate.

The honorable members that oversee the dinners were SMART, they warmed the plates beforehand, this is where I learned this trick for family gatherings. The warm plates really help keep the food warm during servings. REAL PRO's.

The best job I ever had was due to the Man that sponsored me was friends with the Shriner that owned the business where I was in the running for the opening. Nicest MEN I EVER MET! ALL OF THEM!

I just have a problem with doing good 'in secret'. I guess the Church of God programming I suffered as a child had me wanting to share with ALL what I was learning.

pity, have to be 21 to join my areas lodge according to the website, oh well, only a year and 4 month wait. rosinitiate you were right, it says i need to be sponsored by 2 lodge members. but on the bottom it says '' to be one ask one '' kinda contradicting
.

Being 20 you can join The order of eastern star at your local lodge. They may want you to do that before becoming a mason.
