Kukulkan DECODED: Happy Solar New Year!

The Meso-American pyra-temple, a true feat of ancient architecture
(yet to be surpassed by modern society technologies)
has come to be known for the incredible feat of light it exudes
during the twice yearly solstice.
(combining the shadow against the staircase cajoined with the
serpent head projected through sunlight gives the appearance
of the returning feathered serpent God Quetzalcoatl)


It was discovered some time ago that the four staircases
held 91 steps each - and including the top temple - calculated
the known 365 day Earth year.


Here presented to you, for your consideration and perusal, my personal
deeper calculation and hidden wisdom from our ancient elders.


Reading through the pages of ancient history, knowing our ancestors
revered mathematics and the celestial movement of our solar system,
believing they saw their world as asbtract -
I present my abstract version of an ancient symbol revitalised
as they may have saw it.

Seasons, also known as equinoxes, is a long-established fact as to why the pyramid has four sides, and why at exactly the date of the equinox, you can see the serpent descend the staircase - it was designed that way intentionally.

52 represents the years or days in a cycle, not weeks in a year. Easy to see how to confuse the two.

The 364/365 days is correct. I don't think you've correctly assessed the "dots" as days though.

An equinox occurs twice each year when our sun, in its orbit around the earth in a fashion unique to these times of the year, passes directly over the Earth's equator and the length of the daylight and evening hours is equal. Hence the word equinox is derived from the Latin for "equal" aequus, and nox meaning "night". The spring equinox occurs on March 21. Six months later, on Sept 22, we have the Fall Equinox. The summer solstice occurs on June 21st. On this day earth sees the longest duration of daylight. Six months later is the winter solstice on December 22, when we see the shortest daylight and the longest night of the year. On these days the sun almost seems to pause in its orbit before resuming its course, and it is why the word solstice is based on the Latin sol, for "sun", and sistere or "to cause to stand". This cycle then repeats itself as the Earth continues to rotate around the sun. It is interesting to note that there are exactly 91 days between each of these events, and 92 days between the June 21 summer solstice and the September 21 equinox. This adds up to a 365 day solar year with the 91 days between each event matching the 91 steps to each side of the pyramid (described here).

Each of these solar events, the two solstices and the two equinoxes, can be measured and predicted using the patterns of light and shadow that fall on EL Castillo at various times of the year. It is believed that the Mayans used the various shadows and designs formed by the Pyramid to signal the beginning of a harvest or of a planting, to predict the best dates to be married or to be buried, and for other various ceremonial reasons. The cycles of the sun also play out to another Mayan tradition of the number 52. To us, it is a coincidence that this is the number of weeks in our standard year. But to the Maya it represented, in years, the time of one "cycle".

EDIT: Also worth noting is that the pyramid was built before the introduction of Judaic or Christian influence in the Mayan culture, so the concept of a 7 day week is not feasible.

That swastika symbol was used by ancient Buddhist way before Hitler adopted it....could be wrong about the religion but it was def adopted by him but created way before he was around.

Correct. The swastika has been around for thousands of years, and several cultures.

Thank you for the information you supplied,it is correct,
however, I based my interpretation from the Mayan counting system
and - no - my interpretation is my own, I have not plaguerized anyone!

Please show me a diagram of Kukulkan as I depicted it, or a blog, book
or ...something, showing me to be in error of my judgement
Only then will I admit that I have erred in my thought process.

According to my assumption, the grey dots equal seven as in days within
a week equating the 52 yellow dots as weeks...but as I said, this is my
personal adaptation, including what the top temple is in signification of.

As far as the Judean, Gregorian or any later calendar is concerned -
The constant adjustment needed to their calendars does not equate
to the celestial knowledge of the Maya therefore I see Kukulkan
as what I claim it to be - a Solar calendar.

The Swastika is one of the three oldest known symbols to humanity
and up until the time of Hitler was seen as a good luck symbol often
on display to whomever used it.

It can be found worldwide embedded in many different cultures
going back in history to our so-called beginnings.

ATS has a wonderful historic view buried in its archives in regards
to the history of the now tarnished symbol.

...and yes - Hitler and the Mayans were in cohoots!
Its all about world domination! (muhaha)

many different cultures worldwide as certain civilizations had their
own depictions of this most ancient symbol.

You do realize that the number of 7 days in a week is a completely random, artificially constructed thing?

Could have been 8 days, 6 days, 100 days - the old Babylonians brought us the 7 days, but not to meso-america, I guess..

Well thanks for sharing this information. I will accept it as a possibly correct interpretation. Is the Oruboros also one of the 3 oldest symbols because I notice it is also in the north American swastika image. Or does the serpent need to be in the act of eating it's own tail for it to be Considered Oruboros? (Sp?)

i did not know 7 day week came from Babylonian tradition. That makes it ancient. It seems the more ancient something is, the better chance it was scattered across the globe...

Yes, Ouroboros is an ancient symbol often showing itself eating it's own tail
in significance of a never ending cycle.

and I have seen this depiction as the Native American Indians view it
so my belief is the circle of the snake is the key.

Long have I studied the ancient monuments and cultures
spread across our planet and there is a definite connection
hidden in the monuments themselves that show a history
we are not familiar with - which leads credence to Plato's fable
of an Atlantean "TYPE" civilization once existing, the same
story essentially being told in the biblical tale of the
"Fall of Humanity at the Tower of Babel."

Of course - these are my personal beliefs and part of the
reason for joining this forum.

In the future I will be releasing many of these various
controversial conclusions showing a level of civilization
in man's ancient past that today's society has not yet arrived at.

These findings have led me to believe our planet was once
a global civilization so it's quite possible we are working
from an unknown history and as our scholars decode the
findings, we as a present day society adapt them which
would include an ancient time scale reference such as
Kukulkan depicts.

Certainly if I have stumbled upon these artifacts
(and if I deciphered them correctly)
then of course TPTB decoded them along time ago!
