I have never had to take a Drug Test in my Life.

Recently, the new Obamacare Law requires Drug Testing of Chronic Pain Patients.

The not only test for illegal drugs that you might of consumed in the prior month.

They are testing to make sure the prescribed drugs are in your system.

Recently some Congressman have been passing laws to test Welfare Recipients.

Really? This is the worst kind of Nanny State Big Government Overreach.

Welfare recipients receive very little in the big picture.

Congressman handle our money. The make laws that can ruin lives.

This is a clear violation of my rights as well as my Doctors rights.

After they illegally search my urine...They send me the Bill. WTF?

It's time to immediately Drug Test our Congressmen and Senators.

Then we can move on to our Steroid pumped bald behemoth Law Enforcement.

This is a clear trampling of our 4th Amendment Rights.

If its like other proffesional jobs like banking and tradeing I can bet more than 50% are on coke and just as many alcoholics.

Out them i say and send them on a nice 10 year holiday with big bubba, im sure thats one expense the tax payer would relish.

Oh goodness!

If you included a breath test reading before entering the Congressional Chambers? You'd simply never see them on the floor after 12 noon again and only occasionally in the morning, I'd bet. It wouldn't last a week.

If people propose in rage to drug test welfare recipients, it seems quite an obvious priority to make sure our supreme elected leaders, the best among us, are tested as well.

Either that or institute a 2 drink minimum. That would be entertaining.

They charged me $616.00 for violating my Rights.

None of those cowards could pass a test.

They are praying on the weak now.

How much longer until that cup is placed in front of you?

I agree, they should all be drug tested. We entrust them to make decisions that affect OUR lives, decisions both domestic and foreign (in regards to policy), and most of the time they just do whatever they want.

They want that kind of responsibility, they need to be drug tested because drugs impair the ability to think coherently and most importantly—rationally.

And what with the insane decisions they make and the laws they pass, I have no doubt the lot of them are tweaked on on something, from prescription meds, to coke, to full blown alcoholism.

A national movement to drug test politicians? GO!

I've never been drug tested either. I never wanted to work for an organization that literally asked for my bodily fluids in order to issue a paycheck.
I disagree with any type of blanket drug/alcohol/chemical testing. There---I've said it!
Before anyone is subjected to such ignominy there should be probable cause to do said testing.
I'll admit it would give me no small amount of satisfaction to witness the Congress critters lining up to be treated like a common criminal but for the life of me, I can't see that moving toward a solution. Taking away their rights don't restore any rights for anyone. (Besides---who would you assign the job of watching Nancy, Harry or Mitch pee in a cup? )
I'm cautiously hopeful since I heard last evening that a judge had ruled the Florida law unconstitutional.
www.nytimes.com...

A year or so ago several Kentucky legislators got on this "test the welfare people" bandwagon. Turned out that the fellow who actually wrote one of the bills happened to have a son-in-law who ran a drug-testing company. Hmmmm....

Believe me, I know where you're coming from...I don't blame you for being angry but please, rethink your solution since it involves taking rights---

Ummm. Those tests aren't cheap. It seems that someone is trying to stimulate the medical industry. Obama may be the best promoter of the medical industry in recent history. His making people pay health insurance premiums means they will want a return on their money spent so they will go for testing. This will lead to skyrocketing premiums in the future. The healthcare bubble will soon bust like that rubber duck in Taiwan.

Given the treasonous track record of the Congress critters . . . it seems to me we should FIRST test for:

1. An unlobotomized brain and an IQ above freezing . . . maybe above body temperature.

2. An unblack, unstoney, real live heart.

3. An awareness that some things are right and some things are wrong.

4. More than a gnat's fart's worth of patriotism in behalf of THE PEOPLE. Make that more than an elephant's fart's worth.

5. Their track record on lying. CAN they avoid lying for more than 10 seconds straight. Make that more than 10 minutes straight.

6. Their degree of overwhelming narcissism and supreme arrogance.

7. alcohol, other drugs chronically in their system.

8. workaholism . . . using "work" loosely.

9. Their degree of causing ATTACHMENT DISORDER in their children.

10. Their degree of similarity between themselves and standard horrific scum-bag, mercenary, ruthless, abjectly destructive, abusive, criminal, psychopathic, sociopathic, utterly deviant pieces of human garbage wandering around pretending to be human.

I've always said this ever since they drug test me in the service. I think if you are going to drug test it should be around the board including actors and everyone not just who they decide.
I'm actually against it due to it is self incriminating.

And not allow legislators or executives to have dual citizenship.
And test all LEOs periodically for anabolic steroids.

Funny you mentioned that. Have you seen this thread?

In Portland, if a cop tests positive for steroids he can now blame in on 'tainted' supplements. Insanity!

I did not see that thread....Thanks, I guess Cops think we are stupid.

You saw the thread where the Cop knocks down a Service Member.

He then peacocked around say "I'm a Marine". He should be arrested.

If you do not have a neck....You should not be allowed to be a Cop.

I've been doing exactly that for the last 5 years.
This was policy many places before the ACA but perhaps it's in it.
In which case nothing changes for me.

I would rather test cops for steroid abuse.

Whoa I see that others see the problem with roid cops as I do. I think this is the reason why so many cops are overly aggressive.

I started that thread. I think it was a more Marine vs Army thing than police brutality.

I am worried if ACA is here to stay that periodical drug tests may soon be mandatory for everyone.
