Windsor, Ontario, Canada 2011 This phenomenon, first noticed in 2009, has also been reported since 2011 throughout Windsor and Essex County in Ontario, Canada.[23] A 2011 study by Earthquakes Canada indicated that it may be originating from the heavily industrialized Zug Island area on the US side of the Detroit river.[24] A two-hour telephone town hall meeting in 2012 received calls from 13,000 residents, with another 9,000 leaving comments over the next week, although not all of those were from people who could hear the hum.[25]
In his February 5, 2013 letter to police investigators, Mr Kohlhase writes in part: "For over 3 years western Connecticut has been inundated with a bewildering low frequency noise and vibration problem that most are unaware of and certainly being over looked by many. Besides my own personal issues with it, my wide encompassing research to bring attention to the problem suggests far greater reaching consequences than just annoyance."

This article also has a video of one of the described "hums".
Who hears the Hum? Only about 2 percent of the people living in any given Hum-prone area can hear the sound, and most of them are ages 55 to 70, according to a 2003 study by acoustical consultant Geoff Leventhall of Surrey, England. Most of the people who hear the Hum (sometimes referred to as "hearers" or "hummers") describe the sound as similar to a diesel engine idling nearby. And the Hum has driven virtually every one of them to the point of despair. "It's a kind of torture; sometimes, you just want to scream," retiree Katie Jacques of Leeds, England, told the BBC. Leeds is one of several places in Great Britain where the Hum has recently appeared

Have any of your friends expressed any anxiety or other issues possibly caused by the "hum"?

Hello ATS!
I know this subject has been covered here and there throughout ATS. But, it never hurts to get different information and a different perspective from time to time.
I recently watched a series by SyFy called Joe Rogan Questions Everything. In that series he has an episode that discusses Weaponized Weather. Sadly I cant link to any video of the show without paying. But, in the course of discussion he uncovers a story I have never heard about, The Windsor Hum. To sum it up, The Windsor Hum is a low frequency "hum" that many residents in Windsor Ontario 'experience'. Many describe it as a "pulsating hum/feeling" that seems to have a sketchy source. As in no one can seem to pinpoint the source of the "hum". Wiki Page

That page has a fairly good list of other such scenarios and is a good jumping point for anyone that likes to research.
Anyway, some residents believe the sound may be originating from an industrialized island across the way called Zug Island. Some it seems, believe that there is a coverup of conspiracy proportions to hide some sort of pulsating weapons testing. Others think it just may be a symptom of the production machinery. But most all of them are fed up and demanding answers. Some have had mental issues caused by the "hum" even.
Link to SyFy page with a Summary of Episode.
Now, let me say that there is a BUTTLOAD of info out there concerning these "hums" or whatever they may be. I have done alot of reading as of late since I have watched that episode. But, thats not why I made this thread. The above is an example of the phenomena that has been reported in several areas of the world.
Now, what may be causing this is still up for debate. In some instances it can usually be explained away very simply. In other cases such as the Windsor Hum or the Taos Hum, there doesn't seem to be much of an explanation. The one thing about almost of them though is the fact that its been very hard for the people experiencing it to get anybody to investigate. It seems its a finger pointing game and a shifting of the blame sort of thing. No one seems to be sure who's responsibility it is to get to the bottom of it.
And that's where this comes into play and why I put it in Skunk Works.
In his February 5, 2013 letter to police investigators, Mr Kohlhase writes in part: "For over 3 years western Connecticut has been inundated with a bewildering low frequency noise and vibration problem that most are unaware of and certainly being over looked by many. This was published in the New Town Bee. That's right, the very same paper of Sandy Hook fame.
Here's the headline to the Article...
Brookfield Man Implored Police To Consider 'Gas Pipeline Syndrome' In Lanza Investigation
Now, since I posted this in Skunk Works, I'm going to do something a little different here. Rather then push the readers in any certain direction, Im going to allow you to swallow this pill and let your imagination run wild.
Enjoy!

Let me just say Thanks for sharing. Its nice to have a first hand account. Especially on ATS. And you description matches most others.
My question is...Was it bad enough that you were willing to do anything to make it stop? And what kind of thoughts did it provoke? Anything out of character for yourself?
Of course you dont have to answer anything personal. Just thought it would nice to pick your brain.
