Blue Shift
And in airplanes.

Cities in airplanes?

I was just saying that there aren't usually too many rocks in airplanes.

After exhibiting their previous lunar series, Appollo Prophecies, the
two were approached by NASA’s Media Relations contact, Bert
Ulrich, about a commission for a panorama. “They [NASA] told us
Mars is where we’re going to next and if you’re going to do this
project we’d like you to do it about Mars,” says Kahn. “We didn’t
start thinking about mars until they told us to.”

'lol, I'm imagining "Where's Wally" as you crawl your eyes over the entire picture to find Buzz's nozzle. Mars never disappoints, or at least seldom does. Looking at pictures like this it's not surprising that the machine is driving backwards to save wear on the tires (although I don't see how that actually saves wear on the tires, because all of them go over the same stuff anyway - backwards or forwards). On tire close-ups I see some damage but not nearly as much as I would imagine, those things were designed well.

never mind the damage on the buggy , my eyes are bleeding from that last picture, where's wally , where's the tiny little faint smudge of an anomaly , pah Buzz it wasn't worth finding

just goes to show , its slow going at JPL, did last weeks xclass cause a bottleneck in informations flow ?

I've noticed that when I walk outside on the ground, or in the back with the dogs, that I'm looking at the ground and seeing lines and ruts and other martian things, and am sometimes a little surprised to see signs of past life. Are you (or is anyone, Char-Lee?) having that brain-jump occur?

not really , I live in a concrete jungle, a place that's so rapidly changing its pointless to fix anything

And from the neighborhood of your Rocky-fellow, what's with all these things with straight lines and boxes in the sand that we've all been seeing. This one is clear of rocks and has good definition. Maybe a playing field for blueit hopscotch.

And is that a semi-buried spokey just above the bottom right hand corner (edit
robably not, looking at it closer it's just a semi-circle of random rocks, sort of like StoneUnhenged)? Ah, an accidental emoticon created by a : and a P

Excellent find, Blue Shift ... looks pretty distinct compared to the rest of that pic, also in terms of coloring! Guess there''ll be good times ahead for us while sifting through those recent updates!

That's an excellent example of how JPEG compression creates square blocks and applies the colours to the blocks to enhance the contrast.
