Its official now. Rep. Ted Cruz has hired lawyers to help him get rid of his Canadian citizenship. Cruz was born in Canada to an american mother and a Cuban father.

All but certain now, this doesn't bode well for the GOP's chances. Cruz is a very divisive figure. Looks like the GOP is fated to another 2012 style primary circus.

Even their current golden boy; and probably their only hope for a viable candidate has had a few bites taken out of him.

Since when does renouncing his Canadian citizenship all of a sudden make him a (USA) natural born citizen?? He still is not a natural born citizen and nothing he can do or say will make him a natural born citizen. So sick of the hidden government pulling this crap with INELIGIBLES (like Jindal, Rubio, etc.)

You really think that is going to matter enough to stop the Conservative Golden Boy from running?? All they'll need to do is put the 'ol spin machine to work. His mom was a U.S. Citizen so he's also a U.S. citizen, just not born here. (His dad is Cuban though, so does that mean he's also cuban?? Anyway....)

Fox news will convince everyone or just simply lie and say that everyone is ok with it anyway...The spin machine is a powerful weapon indeed!!
